Decided to replace the battery. It was the original battery from made in April 2020. Yikes.

Had the battery place test it and it came up as a bad battery. Hopefully that was all that was causing the issues.

Put a new Duracell Platinum 94R AGM in. Went in easy, fit like OEM. Started up and went for a drive. No errors on shut down. Will try a few more drives over the next few days.
Bad battery can cause a whole host of issue's hopefully that was it. It's also pretty common for battery's to take a dump when the seasons change spring/winter they may have worked fine previously but the change in weather just puts them over the edge.

Thanks for the reply.

Yea. The battery replacement was already on my list of things to do, this issue just escalated it. Will monitor things over the next few days to see how it handles it.

Following with interest, thanks for posting. I bought used 2021 Yukon with 49K miles a year+ ago and when I first got it, discovered the battery pulls after only 4-5 days and when I tried to start.... it nudged/didn't start, but the electronics/messages on console when CRAZY!! Thought I'd destroyed the whole computer system - it was horrible, all over the place, and 2nd/3rd attempts to start with an inadequate jumper box only made things worse!

Now I use a battery tender all the time, no more low battery. TMI: I get 'replace battery' now and then on my FOB even though it's brand new battery but haven't been stranded yet.

And yes, I keep tools to disconnect the negative.... however, when I've done that (I put in a new battery) it goes into alarm mode? - horrible screeching noise for a bit.

Strange. So do you have a new battery in it?

I’ve had two trips today with the new battery without issue. Knock on wood.

In the FOB - yes, the 1st 2 times I got the message I immediately changed the battery. This was within a 6 week time frame. Now, I just ignore the message as a battery should last a couple of years.

Glad to hear it! and sounds like 'low battery' havoc until we get a better theory.

This coincides with the post I made a few days ago about battery life. It's becoming more obvious to me that these are 3-to-4-year batteries instead of 6-to-7-year batteries... I will put replacement of mine on the list in the next few months.

Yea even the new Duracell AGM battery I bought only has a 4 year warranty. It’s not a bad job to replace it. I filmed it and will be putting the process up on my YouTube Channel.

I may have Sams club do mine. They do a great job and you are out of there quickly if you are there when they open in the morning. They sell the same battery...
Post your video here when you make it.....
