2020 Tahoe..AFM while Towing

Anyone fine the V4 mode annoying while towing? What have you done to combat it? Like to have just V8 mode while towing.

I found it annoying all the time. Bought a Range AFM disabler. No more stupid putt putt mode.

AFM disabler or better yet get a tuner that has that as a feature.

I have a Diablo Sport inTune 3 and it does that.. it's a bit more than just a disabler but I don't have to leave it plugged in and I can load tunes that really wakes the truck up.

Use TOW/HAUL mode, i havent towed with our 17, but our 13 holds to V8 when T/H is engaged.

AFM is a bad deal. Disable it before you suffer the same fate as others. At the end of the day, it's your $10k.

I realize this is a thread for '15-'20 trucks.. slightly different engine. However, GM has suffered these issues FOR YEARS. Do you really think they resolved it?

couldnt agree more. our 13 has 146K miles, serviced regularly with the recommended oil and does mostly highway duty.
now, the new to us 17, is right at 40K miles and i am looking to tune this vehicle.
