When I make tight turns at slow speeds there is a very audible clicking sound coming from the front suspension area. What is this, and is it normal?

Mine is the same in that I only hear it with the windows down. I'm still under warranty but didn't want to waste time going to the dealership if it's normal.

Without hearing the clicking it is hard to say. But if it is rhythmic it could be the outer CV joint.

My 2017 Escalade LWB does the same thing but it’s ONLY noticeable with windows down in a parking garage where sounds are magnified. I’ve only tried it in 2wd. The sound is so faint that if my windows are up I can’t hear it.

The CV on our 02 Audi allroad click like that when they sing their death song. Turning make it more pronounced.

Some refer to it as the axles are toast as most new axles come with new CV already installed. It’s the ball bearings starved for grease.

Our 08 Denali AWD started doing this. Will have the front CV repacked w/ grease and see if we can head off the catastrophe and/or cure the clicking.

they told me its my wheels.
i just told the serv writer, that funny b/c i was able to duplicate the sound w/ vehicle on a rack w/ wheels off.
:banghead:

then he tried to tell me maybe its a normal noise from spider gears.
