I wrapped my chrome trim around my windows myself, but had the chrome strip on my running boards painted in 040 Mercedes Gloss black, and had my grill surround and fog light surround painted the color of my truck. Sometimes the plastic parts like the front are harder to get the wrap to adhere, so painting them is better.
