2018 Tahoe - 2nd row swap

Hi all - new to the forum and new owner of a 2018 Tahoe Premier 5.3L with gray metallic exterior and the cocoa/dune interior. I currently have the 60/40 bench in the 2nd row and would love to swap for buckets that have the heat/power fold option. I've read on a few forums (not this one) that sometimes there isn't carpet between the captains chairs when you do this swap - is that really a thing?

There is carpet, they may be referring to floor mats that cover that area. GM accessories has one if you want to look it up.
