    Any quick fixes to moldy smell coming from the A/C vents on start-up? Condensate stuck somewhere, but how to get rid of it? My Tahoe is only a year old, and stored in doors. Thanks!

    Pull kick plate under dash on passenger side, remove and replace cabin filter, spray some mold, mildew odor eliminator in the box. Also, make sure the drain from box isnt clogged. Go up underneath passenger side, behind wheel well and make sure condensate tube actually drips.

    Btw this is the 91+ section... there is a section dedicated to each generation of tahoe.
    Simple mistake, look around good info on here. Welcome btw

    @07Burb move this please. Ty

    Not sure how to move it to the right place, but on mine the filter is behind the glove box, and it was packed with dirt !! I'm embarrassed !! Mine is a 2018 RST. Thanks Again !!

    Oh, they must’ve moved it. I haven’t looked for it in my 19 yet. They used to be under the passenger side kick panel for 19,000 years, when/if GM decided to put them in.

    Follow the instructions in your op manual. Not too bad to replace, yet totally inconvenient. Not the way you should design things. Now, on to figuring out how to access the forum for the newer models !!

    @Rumblur

    after you change out the cabin filter... take your tahoe into dealer & ask them about enabling, afterblow.

    Hmm, afterblow seems to be available for quite some time. I'll have to see if I can have my indy enable tomorrow on my 08 Denali XL.

    https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/122684-2008-fan-afterblow-function-description/

    When afterblow has been enabled by the scan tool the blower motor will operate at 68 percent blower speed for 2 minutes 30 seconds to 4 minutes after the engine has been in Key OFF for 30 minutes.

    The following conditions must be met for the HVAC module to operate the afterblow:

    • The outside air temperature must be at least 21°C (70°F).
    • The A/C compressor must have operated during the latest key cycle.
    • The engine must be turned off for at least 30 minutes.
    • The system voltage must be at least 12 volts.
