2016 Yukon/Replacement taillight much brighter than stock and intermittent hyper flash?

Hello,

I recently purchased a replacement tail light from carparts.com for my 2016 Yukon. After installation, I noticed that the new taillight is much brighter (to the point that people have pulled up beside me and told me my brake light is stuck on) and I started getting intermittent hyper-blink at blinkers and error message at the dashboard.

Any suggestions?

I should mention that carparts.com claims that this was an OEM part.

Return it and get one from a different company.

I seriously doubt that carparts.com is selling OE product. They list "Replacement" "Anzo" and "Spyder" as the only brands they offer in those lights. Which one did you buy?
