2015 Yukon Denali power liftgate will not CLOSE automatically.

Opens with no problem using the fob, handle button or overhead button. Will not close with any of the above or the close button on the bottom of the gate itself, so I always have to shut it manually. If I hold the close button long enough I get beeps along with a flash of the turn signals, but nothing happens. Any ideas welcomed...

No mechanical sound when you try? No motor sound or clicking? When you do it manually does it close smoothly? Check connections to the actuators. Here’s an old post that may help.

2015 Denali liftgate motor not working

Hello, The motor for tailgate stopped working. I press the switch in the handle or use the remote and the door unlocks but won’t open. I have to manually open and close the tailgate. The switch in the overhead counsel is in the on position. Is there anything else I could lack at? Thanks, Lou

Everything opens fine, no unusual sounds or anything. I've seen where some people suggested checking fuses but they all check out. Here's a pic of my interior fuse cluster. Am I missing anything?

I think in the old post he ended up getting new actuators. At 10 years old they’re probably tired. You can always get the from Amazon and return them if they don’t fix the problem.

Never closed from the time I bought it. Replaced the struts, lock actuator, even the close button with factory parts. Nothing...

OBstruct? Yes, it will close back down then

it sure sounds like something obstructing it but Joe cleared that. How a loud chaffed wires from top of rear into the llift gate? I know I’m grabbing at straws now.

Well, technically you can instruct it how to close with your hand but sometimes inanimate objects don't listen very well….
