Hey guys need some help here, I've never lowered a vehile only lifted them!

I have now a 2012 XL, and was thinking of a 2/3 drop and some nice big 26's.

A few questions are;

Who makes a good complete 2/3 drop?

How wide of rims will i be able to fit?

What offset should I be looking for?

What tire size will work so I don't rub?

Thanks.

2/3 drop

Welcome, definitely hit up NorcallSS (Tony) at http://www.tbssowners.com/store/ for the drop.
Any good rims shop could help with the correct offset, but as far as tires for 26's, 295/30/26 would be your best bet with no rubbing. A buddy of mine got a set of Sunny tires in this size for $900 installed. And his truck is lowered 3/5. Very minor rubbing on big bumps. Here is a pic of 295/30/26's on an avy with a 2/4 drop. Hope this helps:)

Talk about a new type of tire stretching lol!:shocked:

ive done 295 35 on a 9.5 and 10 inch wheel. There are a lot of wheel companies doing a 9.5 so if he wants to do that he can or go with a 10. I already pmed him all the info on both 9.5 and 10 inch wheels.

oh just saw 26. 295 30 26 on a 26x10 then. 30 series on a 10 inch will be perfect. for 35 series tire you can get away with a narrower rim. 30 series on a 295 need 10s.

i had 295s on my 26s at first and didnt like the look, but no rubbing

now i have 305s and love the look, but i have rubbing issues, and mines not even dropped. the rubbing could be fixed with about 30 minues time.

I have 305/30/26 on my 07 Tahoe and they rubbed at first. I grinded away the inside of the fender behind the plastic cover and that solved the rubbing. Stock ride height as of now but I plan on dropping the back 2 inches.

Will it still rub with 3.5 lift?
