2012 upgrade hdd navigation rse screen won't shut off.

Okay so if you saw my thread about my battery worries I have figured it out.

My rse will stay on all the time as long as there I'd a disk in the head unit.
When I had the old navigation I could shut off and turn on the rse with the remote control. This remote no longer works for any functions.

My questions are.
Have anyone noticed this yet on theirs?
Why won't the remote work anymore. I have the rounded shape remote.
Does anyone have a pin out so that I can create a momentary switch that will cut the power when the screen in closed. Sort of like a hood pin switch.

Hello. Did You figured out what is the problem? I have same issue when i replaced my HU. Mine doesn't show video picture, but rear monitor is on all the time.

I fixed the remote not working it was a pin out of place. That was posted by another member on here. As far as the monitor staying on I put a small switch on the side of the rse that interrupts the trigger wire (acc) power wire and shuts off the monitor. I installed a second flip down from a escalade ext and it works both monitors.
