Hey all,

I have a 2011 GMC Yukon Denali that I believe is having a ground issue. Passenger side headlight works fine. Driver side was not working properly so I replaced bulbs, fuses, and relay. The headlight is still very dim on lowbeam and there is no high beam when I put on the brights. I’m guessing it’s a ground issue but looking for advice. And if it is a ground any idea where it’s connection would be at? Thanks!

More skilled folks will chime in but these rigs are known to have grounding problems. Check your ground connections at the chassis and engine block.

The first thing I'd do is verify what's low or missing -- ground or power -- and go from there. You could use a fairly high amperage test light (say, 4A or so) and test the connector terminals using a good 12v source, then a known good ground, and that would tell.

Or temporarily substitute a ground to see if that's the cause.
