2010 Suburban Steering Wheel Issue

Hi folks, been looking for the internet on what is the right tool to remove the
GM 26001827 Steering Column Bearing Kit ???

i have a whining and clicking sound and i think its the bearings that are worn out

Have you greased the intermediate shaft? I thought for certain that my burb needed a new power steering pump when I got it. Some online research and found that if you pack in grease into the shaft, AND take off the boot at the firewall and grease EVERYTHING. in about a thousand miles everything will be happy again. I used the Lucas Red and Tacky spray grease to get up and around the firewall, and Lucas heavy duty (grey) grease for the shaft. Seems to work great and the steering in silky smooth now and cost me about 15 minutes of labor.
