A few months back I discovered that the civilian Crown Vics and the MGM had a hood mat so I picked up the clips that hold the mat on hoping I’d find one since you can no longer get them at the dealer. So a few weeks back I saw a post on FB Marketplace for someone selling airbags and other miscellaneous parts off an 06 MGM so I inquired about the hood mat and the guy had turned the MGM into an enduro car so he basically said if you want it come get it so over my winter break I was able to grab it clean it up and throw it on. I also threw on the engine cover a few weeks back.

I had this ticket light sitting around finally got around to installing it, it’s the slimmer version and full LED which the old one was but it was bigger, this looks cleaner and is brighter in both settings too and these ones are harder to come by.

Haven’t updated this in awhile. A few months back I picked up an upgraded headlight harness it draws power directly from the battery so you get the full voltage at the headlight connectors, without the harness the power goes through the LCM and there’s some voltage loss, with the upgraded harness I can run higher voltage bulbs still running the brightest sylvania bulbs right now ultra iirc. I’ll get some night shots of the highs and lows latter this week.E4D24D15-BC67-4A51-830A-A0D03DD7138C.jpeg7421699B-8D79-4DF3-847C-7D9ADDC095AD.jpeg

Found some Whelen trunk lights on Facebook Marketplace, it was something that Whelen made for NYSP threw them on for off-road use to go along with the other lights there’s a momentary switch on the driver-side one to put it in low power mode or back to high power and I tucked a switch to turn them off and on under that light and ran all the wiring in loom through the trunk lid for a clean install and grabbed power from the trunk mounted police power point.

Last week I dropped off the car at my mechanic to have a few things taken care of. The car had the original shocks/struts so picked up some Motorcraft replacements along with all new hardware since it’s a Northeast car, had the two rear 02 sensors replaced since one would set off a code every now and then, had the exhaust realigned the passenger side tip had moved it a lil bit I loosened up the clamp and couldn’t get the tip to move, and had the upper control arms replaced due to the bushings being shot and it’s cheaper to just throw new ones in vs doing those and the balljoints, well it was going good till they got to the passenger front strut the coil spring had cracked and due to where it was you couldn’t see it till it was pulled apart so had to get a set of new front springs and being the police ones are different no Ford dealer had them locally so got them shipped from Detroit. The car rides so much better now might do the rear springs down the road the car still sits level I thought that maybe the front would be higher now from the new springs. Here’s some pics from this past weekend and as you can see I added some clear plate lights which need to get wired in hopefully wire them up one morning this week before work, and I finally found that DARE plate I was looking for too.
