I have a 2007 Tahoe 5.3 LT 2WD and it’s been having a hard time starting up every time. If I crank it a few times it’ll turn right on but I’m guessing it’s because enough fuel gets into the engine by the 4th crank up. I did a fuel pressure test and when I go into “on” position with key I don’t receive any psi. After it starts up it’ll maintain 52-54 psi no issue. But after I turn it off it loses pressure all the way to 0 immediately. It threw me a Evap Cannister Solenoid code so I replaced that and the check engine light went off but still cranks a few times before it’ll start. I tried locating a Fuel System Control Module but I can’t seem to find it and I’ve looked everywhere from under the spare to the front and back of the gas tank and the only thing I see that’s similar to this is pictured below. What is this anyway? Are there some 2007 models that do not have a FSCM? I’m leaning towards this being my fuel pump. Anyone have trouble locating their FSCM? I thought this was it but according to wire diagrams it should have 47 pins and this only has 37. Thanks for anyones discussuib and advice.

The 2007s are unique in that they do not have a FPCM, the ECM does it all. Can't even fuel the fuel pump on the Tech-2 scan tool.

Sounds like the diaphragm in the pump has gone bad. I had that happen in an old Buick once.

I don't recognize that module in the photos.

The new pump assembly with the fuel lever send AND if you have one of the FlexFuel engines (LC9 or LMG) it is MU1683 or 19208960. If you have an LY5, it is MU1639 or 19370394.
