hello all. first time post, fairly frequent searcher for general info on these trucks. I am currently working on my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali XL, and after purchasing 3 different engine wiring harnesses (one for simplified ls swaps, one dbc, one 2005 version), I have run into a snag that has me puzzled: does the 2005 Yukon have a different plug for the alternator? I began plugging everything in from the furthest points, towards the PCM. now I am near the fuse block, but have a 2-prong connection that doesn't match my alt. am i missing something obvious? every other harness I've dealt with has the 4-prong hookup I'm used to. any info to clarify this is immensely appreciated! I should also add that this box was attached to the negative battery cable, but I removed it before plugging things up.
* update
so I feel like a jerk after finding where to connect that box. I believe it regulates voltage or something. but let's say I hook up a 4-prong connection; will there be any adverse effects since my PCM isn't built for that?
