I was thinking of removing the black molding off the doors of my 02 Tahoe. Anyone have experience with this? Specifically, are they held on with a glue/tab combo or just glue? I don’t want to pull them only to find out that now I’ve got odd shaped holes in the door, lol.

Double stick tape, be careful as in paint is old and may peel. Fishing line the molding off instead of just pulling

What's up man! Just started on mine today on my Yukon. Used a heating gun and fishing line and so far they seem to come off pretty easy.

This is a common mod. Really cleans up the lines, just leaves you vulnerable in parking lots. Easy to do, definitely want some heat on there to soften the glue. I remember that a few people had problems with using an excessive amount of heat (as in heat gun on high in one spot for 15 minutes, excessive).
