Hi, so I have a 2002 GMC Yukon xl 2wd and about a year ago I switched rim sizes from a 16 to an 18. Ever since every now and then from a complete stop when I push my gas my low traction light comes on and I can only drive under 10 mph. It will eventually kick off and my car will speed up with a jerk bc it finally have power or if I turn traction control off for a second it resets. Has anyone had this problem?

usually this caused by a bad or lazy abs sensor, the abs sensors serve a dual function (anti-lock braking) AND wheel speed monitoring for the traction control
there is small chance it could also be a sensor in the transmission and even a possibility of a engine problem.
the best option here is to try and scan for any codes while the traction control is lit up, typically no code is saved when the light goes out because it self-checks and if it all is good the light stays out and everything works normal.
getting that active code may require a moderate level scanner, a cheap scanner may not pick it up, because the code is not obd (smog related)

Last time I or anyone else I knew had this problem, the fix was tires with better traction.

push and hold the tc off button for like 10 seconds, see if tc and stability will turn off. my hoe does the same thing, at least it sounds like it. and i cant turn off all the nannys, but one push and turn off tc and it no longer does the dead gas pedal if the tires spin.

ive got two codes stored in the abs. im pretty sure the ebcm needs to be repaired.
