4wd (waste of resources) HC with air suspension, 28+ mpg at 70-75 mph 90% of the trip. No drama, no problems, lots of cargo room (of course), smooth, calm, effortless. Use case for a road trip with this is superlative. So much better than the 2013 Tahoe Z71 4wd with 5.3. Used Archoil snake oil every fill up, placebo effect probably.

After a 600+ mile day in the 2013 my body would kind of vibrate for a while when sitting down out of the vehicle, with this - nothing. :)

Too many semis trying to pass each other at 55-65 mph in a marked 65-75 mph highway.

Diesel was cheaper in Chicago than Indiana. Go figure. Ranged from $5.80 (Rapid Roy) in Springfield, MO to $6.70 (BP) in Mansfield, Ohio. Bought a thankful in Waukegan at $6.46 (Murphy). Here I thought I would undercut the price of Premium Unleaded a year ago. :facepalm

Back home Chevron is $6.80. So is Kroger.

You are still ahead with the Diesel and 28 mpg. FYI: we paid 8.60 per gallon in Truckee CA last weekend. Got enough to get to a Costco in Roseville CA , 75 miles away. It was way down to $7.69 at Costco. Once again we are being ***** in CA.
