1999 Yukon, 4WD, 5.7L, Automatic, 145K miles.
A few months back it started an engine surging and what i believe is a miss-fire with a code (forget the number) regarding the catalytic converters and that they are not working properly. i replaced them and cleared the codes and it ran great for awhile but now the surging and missing is back. i will replace the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. I am interested if any of you have had these same symptoms before and have suggestions of what else should i look at or replace?
maybe the crankshaft or camshaft positions sensors?

Run a fuel pressure test gauge on it and have a long enough hose to come out back of hood and tape to w/s. Cold start readings, warm up readings and driving readings and when problem occurs.
