Adding to that, the left mounting tab on the distributor cap will be nearly touching the upper intake when it’s near zero degrees.

^^ also a potential position
really only 3 spots in the gear you can grab. one spot will end up here one will end up parallel with that flat spot on the intake. the third spot is difficult to sit in due to the cam sensor plug and that fuel line. did that one once tho so it is technically possible.

Is there anyway gas could have gotten in the oil? Oil is like water and smells of gas.

Maybe bad rings but could just be too much fuel being called for - especially since you have oxygen sensor codes on. I’d start by getting those codes resolved and follow with a fuel pressure test to rule out a leaking injector.

I assume you still have the stock injectors? Look inside the throttle body and see if you see any wires or a plastic sleeve around the injector tubes. If so, it’s been upgraded to the MPFI which is a good thing.

The factory manual has the diagnostics for each DTC. They’re also available at subscription site alldatadiy.com which is pretty much just an online copy of the GM service manual.

Thank you everyone for all the help. It was all of it , but the real problem was the injectors.

What is the oil pressure supposed to be at?
