1995 TBI replacement

dealership said my TBI needs to be replaced, specifically code 35 is present, Idle arm control valve is bad, and they TBI for that year is discontinued. The vehicle idles fairly high, 1100 at park and 850 in gear. Any one know where I can buy a replacement or buy a rebuilt one. This is a CA Tahoe, if that makes a difference. It passed smog last month with the high idle, and runs very well other than the high idle.

I would get a second opinion personally. That sounds like the dealership just wants to throw parts at it.

"HMm doesnt work right maybe we should replace the entire throttle body injection system hurrdurr"

^^^2X especially if they don’t make them anymore. @swathdiver is a whiz at deciphering codes and may know a way to troubleshoot it If you have access to a Tech2.

Why not just replace the Idle Air Control Valve and clean out the port it threads in to.

Rock Auto has AC Delco Idle Air Control Valve #217437 for $40.79 and the connector AC Delco #PT2300 for $22.79

There is also a reman throttle body there for $269.79

Here is the diagnostic for DTC 35 on a 1995 in case you want to run through it. Since you said it otherwise runs well, the bad injector diagnosis seems unusual.
