05 rusted body mounts

So 6 out of my 12 body mounts are bad and the 6 that are bad are rusted through the frame. Is there an easy way to fix this? Is it something that can't really be fixed or should I even waste my time? I'm in the process of finding a new transmission for the truck and this would be my next project on the truck before winter hits.

Looks like you still have some decent metal to work with there. I'd hit some local junk yards for some later model cushions, cups, and washers. Nice soft mounts will improve ride quality too. Not too hard to remove with a helper to pry the body up a bit. New stuff costs a fortune. Clean the rust off, couple good coats of paint.

I think what you are seeing are the body mount cups. They should come with the new body mounts..

So as long as those bolts come out.. You are in good shape.

Just a matter of going in there, scrapping off all the old rust, wire wheel it, paint/convert, install.
