Update on my 2014 tahoe

I got it from dealership and it drove fine first few days. But the transmission started slipping and jerking a bit. They told me new fluids were done before I got it, Oil and transmission fluid etc. but I recently took it in to the same dealer ship shop cause I was having issues and they said the transmission fluid was low and dirty? So they changed it out, for free, and said let them know if it’s any better.

Well, it’s not. If anything it feels worse now. I’m getting sticking gears still i feel like. Only codes I’ve gotten is c0300 and c0700 but I was told neither of these pertain to the transmission. If it’s not the fluid, not the transmission leaking, what else could it be?? It jumps when I first start driving it from 1st to 2nd and sometimes I feel it in the other gears to, When I’m just causally cruising. It just doesn’t feel right.. I’m not sure what else to do. I feel like I’m screwed out of $14k

I’m not getting any codes anymore, it still jerks/slips, fluid is fine, no leaks?

I don't see either code as pertaining to a GMT900 vehicle like yours. Now, replace the "C" with "P" and it makes perfect sense and you bet your boots that P0700 is the code for the TECHM telling the computer to throw a code and tell you that something is wrong.

A certified tech ought to be able to discern the problem with his Tech-2 in moments.

Can you verify that the correct fluid was used?

Where do you live? Know anyone with a Tech-2? This is the dealer level scan tool we use to diagnose and troubleshoot these vehicles. There ought to be failure records that it can view, a snapshot recording of what was going on at the time the code was thrown.

Hey man thanks for your reply. I took it to my local dealer ship. They are a toyota and Nissan dealer. I can’t say what fluid they used. I’m not sure. I just know they flushed it’d and refilled it cause “it is low and dirty”

And I’m not sure where I’d find someone with a tech 2. Maybe I’ll start at my local Chevy dealer.

Find a local independent transmission shop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6L80E trans have very specific issues/fixes/. They are good transmissions.
your's may just be worn out (since you just bought the Truck) or could
be a simple TCM or solenoid fix.. Stealerships are NOT Transmission Specialists

Well, if you can't find out what fluid they used, you might er on the side of caution and replace the 3 gallons inside with Dexron VI full synthetic.

Get an adapter and plug it into the radiator's top passenger side transmission cooler fitting on the tank. Attach a 3/8 clear vinyl line to it and the other end into a 5 gallon bucket and start the motor until about 5-6 quarts comes out. Then add that amount down the dipstick and repeat until done. Run her through the gears, a few seconds in each one while stopped and then take it for a short drive and see.

9 out of 10 transmission shops are going to be very specific (I'm being facetious) and say your transmission is shot and needs replacement. In one sense a full rebuild makes sense since the unit is zero-timed to like new again. Many come with a warranty, like a GM reman is good for 3 years and 100K miles. If you do wind up replacing the transmission, make sure you also replace the torque converter and if you can swing it, get one with all the latest improvements like billet Sonnax parts.
