In the 3rd picture from the top you can see terribly low battery voltage. Alternator Is failing. Check with voltmeter. Could be sporadic.

Seems suspect but good luck man. I'll be the first to post issues. As a Toyota loyalist and previous gm tech I'm hoping for these new rigs to show me the gm I know but alas has been problem free.
Much less problems then the gm junk I uses to work on. What's funny is the guys with older rigs...
Sounds scary but it's just a valve pack. :). It's all in the name of efficiency. And how often you changing thermostats?
But I hear ya.
Technology is a boogeyman. Wooooo
It's not scary. It's a shop. If you visited me during my hey day I promise you would reconsider many 'reliable' gm offerings. Truth is everything breaks. And shops have plenty of broken stuff. I ran a landcruiser shop for a bit. And yes they would break too.
Has this yukon been refreshed/updated ecm? Longer crank times? I think this code is the one that was due to a misplaced reluctor/missing reluctor. The cure was to reflash. I don't remember seeing any overheating tho.
Hard to say but generally idle will remain high initially to warm up. Could be thermostat issue or engine coolant temp issue.
Report back on what you find. A specific code would help.
You have warranty use it.
That's what's in inventory. Gives a small glimpse into what's going on. With that said the lm2 has been out since late 2019. And have not heard much if anything in terms of catastrophic failure or premature/mature oil belt failure.
But you can read about gas failures all day long.
You make a valid point in terms of total numbers. With that said I don't think there's been hardly any catastrophic lm2/lz0 failures vs gas v8s which are realively common.
Hell I haven't even read or seen a premature oil belt failure either.
The lm2 is also way more common in the trucks so...

Last I checked he had the best prices too.
They do. It's pretty common. Debris gets into the box and condensation keeps it wet. Eventually a small pin hole leak forms where it touches. Happens all the time.
I think it's a very robust engine. I do like it. Drives well. Has plenty of power for the suvs. Gets good mpg. I wouldn't be surprised to see it offered. I'd pick it over a 5.3 myself. Torque curve is better. But I'm a baby duramax guy.
Lz0 hasn't been out in the suvs yet. 2025 is first year for those and looks like late 25 at best for diesel. Lm2 has been solid. Lz0 has been solid in the trucks so far.
The wagoner and grand wagoner have giant incentives on them. Like huge for old new product that has been sitting. If you like them roll the dice. Resale will be terrible when they are giving doing 25k off msrp and sometimes more.
The hurricane I6 looks promising. The hemis are reliable enough...
Hey guys so the new refreshed suburban and tahoe have dropped but alas no yukon/yukon xl so far.
When do yall think it's happening ?
Any predictions ?
My predictions is that it will have a front end similar to sierra ev. And I feel like the interior will follow the sierra ev as well. Part...
