Lubegard 96030 Kool-It Evaporator and Heater Foam Cleaner https://a.co/d/0NXPpEe
I know this thread is old. But this is the solution to this moldy, smelly vent problem and compressor failure due to oil loss from liquid slugging caused by a dirty coil. It is also a cause of blower motor resistor...
I forgot to add. If you have compressed air, use it to blow out the lines and coils. Put a rag over the end of the hose or coil you're blowing out. This will help remove any excess oil. Just make sure not to add too much back as you won't be able to get every last drop out of the lines and...
I am about to replace my power steering pump and lines. My hydroboost brake booster is leaking at several spots. My pedal is also spongy.
I ran across a couple of videos on YouTube of dudes rebuilding their hydroboosts instead of replacing them.
Does anyone have experience or recommendations...
Hey, sorry it took me so long.
If you do the compressor, get the GM genuine. Also get the delco accumulator. Don't forget to get the orifice tube either.
I would also do the cycle switch on the accumulator and the refrigerant pressure sensor.
Also get a couple cans of this and follow the...
I put a new compressor and accumulator and orifice tube in this weekend.
I also redid the compressor connector and the refrigerant pressure sensor connector too.
Purged with nitrogen, vacuumed and weighed the charge back in. Nice and cold. The diode had failed and it was sending a volt spike...

These two links are awesome places to get the Deplhi/Aptiv OEM Connector ends and terminal ends as well.
They also have an awesome 16 wire, 18 gauge color coded TAC module harness and an 18 gauge TAC to pedal harness for 2004 gm trucks.
But most of their...
Check out EFI connections and LS Wiring .
They have the plug ends and terminals made by Delphi/Aptiv which is original equipment.
I used them for my throttle system re-wire and have since put a new connector on my alternator and just ordered the ones for my AC compressor.
I drove my '04 Z71 today without even a glimpse of limp mode showing up.
I think I finally have my throttle system fixed !
It should be, I replaced the full 16 wire TAC module harness and the TAC to pedal harness as well. With a new TAC and PCM too.
I got the PCM plug and play with a lifetime...
As another mentioned, get a good scan tool.
I would also check your alternator to make sure it's putting out within specs.
I just chased numerous problems being caused by a bad voltage regulator In a brand new alternator from auto zone. It was overcharging my system which fried my throttle...
I hope to be able to contribute.
I have already tried to help one person about a MAF code issue they were having that I had too. I find a quite easy solution for it.
I'll get a couple of pics of it up soon !
I'm psyched to be here !
Hey if you still have the problem. I had this issue and discovered that dirty catalytic converters can cause this. I changed my MAF and air filter too with no change.
I used a bottle of cataclean to clean the converters and it cleared it up and I haven't had it since.
I don't think i have either.
I am actually fighting this exact same problem almost verbatim to what you described.
I actually went further and replaced the entire 16 wire harness to the TAC with the proper Delphi pins and connector ends I got from EFi Connections. I also replaced the TAC to...
