6.2L or Duramax reliability
I own the 6.2L and I’m quite happy with it. Did a trip to Canada. 1,500 miles in 5 days. I averaged 19.3mpg. No problems whatsoever. I’m at 35k miles right now and it’s the 2021. 2021 Tahoe Maintenance Schedule
Thank you. Very interesting. That is not much that's due for 30,000 miles. Oil change is not due. Air filter still says 30% (guess this is the engine air filter?). Real Life MPG 5.3 / 6.2
Having a 6.2 myself i got some results to share... Best: 25 ish worst: 14.5 average: 15.8 the average is related to 90% city driving. Best was a road trip, highway in Canada, 60mph- xycrazy

What made you decide on a high country over a Denali?
I totally agree with that. If I want a smile in my face I go with the 6.2 in a Corvette. I don't care in an SUV big and heavy like a ship. That being said, the 5.3 is plenty of power and brings enough joy. Day and night to the previous model- xycrazy

2022/2023 Towing
Would definitely not compromise on the brake controller if towing is a thing for you. I don't even towing yet but didn't want to give up on that option. I would have rather sacrificed another feature than the integrated towing brake controller. Sure, you can get aftermarket stuff but it will...- xycrazy

Not true. I've never been below 17.3 and average 19.2 - 19.5 with the 6.2 - 20.9 with the 5.3- xycrazy

What made you decide on a high country over a Denali?
We chose the HC 6.2 because we couldn't get a Premier. Didn't like the Denali front with the chrome grill. But it's sick when blackened out for sure. I totally get it. I have the 6.2 but thinking about going down to 5.3 since I don't need the power and the new 5.3 in combination with the 10 speed drives superb- xycrazy

Towing
In my area the cheapest regular I can get is $4,79 right now. Diesel $5,69. That's almost 1$ per Gallon. Not worth it imho- xycrazy

2022 Yukon Denali 6.2: beat my all-time high MPG!
