    05 Tahoe EBCM

Abs pump has been tested it indeed does not come on. I'm going to try electrical diagnosis but I feel like the pump itself is shot. Not looking forward to having to bleed the brakes with a new pump, going to need to buy an obd2 reader that runs the pump too.

I'll also do some electrical tests for resistance from the positive battery cable to the positive connector for the abs pump/ebcm

Very well could be corrosion etc. I did clear the DTCs, comes right back as soon as I hit 4-5mph. I think testing the motor with an advanced obd2 reader would tell me if it's running or not? I had an obd2 reader but accidently junked it with my old project s10 lol. So now I have to go to...

I have a friend that possibly has an obd2 reader that can run the pump, so then I can test it

    05 Tahoe EBCM

Used EBCM has been installed, one nightmare of a code remains. C0268 - Pump motor short circuited. I'm guessing at this point the pump is also bad.

Heres the part I ordered! They seem to look just about the same except for the top sticker which I noticed afterwards, hopefully internally they're identical. here they are side by side

    No oil pressure '04 Yukon

Yeah I'd hook a manual gauge before you freak out anymore. Doing it with the intake on is very simple. Was able to do it with my fat fingers. The hardest part by far is getting the hose for the manual gauge on which required lots of choice words. Get a 1 1/16in oil pressure sending unit...

    05 Tahoe EBCM

Got the EBCM off with a combination of sawzall, cutoff wheel and a dremel tool. Things totally mangled lol. No damage whatsoever to the pump at all. Studs still need taken off but dont think that'll be too much of a pain. The part number on it is totally faded, but it's an 11-2-2 model, so its...

    05 Tahoe line Lock

I think the truck not doing a burnout may have to do with the fact that my throttle body is drive by wire and not cable. Watching Neutral Drop they've beaten on some Tahoe's(way more than I ever would) and were able to do burnouts. They all seem like older ones to me with a drive by cable. So...

    05 Tahoe line Lock

Yeah makes sense. Really would not like having to swap the 4l60e AGAIN. lol, I may not do the line lock it was simply something I was interested in inquiring about.

    05 Tahoe line Lock

ah, so what you're saying is the line lock may not be strong enough to prevent the front tires from spinning when I want them to be locked?

    05 Tahoe line Lock

I dont have any sort of traction control with a button, I do have a stability control with a fuse though.

    05 Tahoe line Lock

Not trying to spin the fronts though, trying to spin the rears.

    So front install it is?

    05 Tahoe line Lock

It wont do it right now unless I'm in like wet gravel. Wont let me rev past 2k and the tires just skid instead of full spinning.

Totally agree, it's a question, boy I'm getting shamed for it lol

    05 Tahoe line Lock

I would never ruin my good new tires, I have a friend who may have a ***** set he can sell me cheap. As for why, idk to be quite honest lol, it truly is an American thing lol, I just want to be able to do burnouts

    After more reading definitely front.

    05 Tahoe line Lock

Ok thank you, but wouldnt front or rear work? For front you press brake and lock and for rear you lock then press the brakes when doing the burnout? do you think I should mount at the MC or after the abs pump?

    05 Tahoe line Lock

Hi y'all Im considering installing a line lock on my tahoe to do some burnouts with a ***** pair of tires. Couple of questions: Would it be easier to install it to the front or rear? Im okay with either setup as it kind of ends up doing the same thing for me either way. Do I need to install it...

I wonder if disconnecting 3 three bracket to frame bolts will allow more play to move it a bit. I'd like to be able to return this one for a core, which some private companies will take for like $10 off.

So pretty much making room for the extractor to get the 4 torx out? did you cut it in half so 1/2 of it fell off? And its a horizontal cut across im guessing?
