    Low oil pressure fixed!

"mostly likely it had a High OCI clean oil will not damage seals dirty oil will I know there will be a lot of people who will deny this think of this as sand blasting with microscopic carbon partials at 50PSI if you want the engine and transmission to last 200-300k or more miles...

    Engine Rattle or Ping

Because the 6.2 is designed to run on premium, you will get slightly better mileage if you use it as the engine will not have to retard the timing to prevent detonation from using regular. The above advice to use top tier fuel is warranted. I had to take my 2008 6.2 with 140k miles apart due to...

Tahoe Z71 renovation project - Cracked Dash Fix

I replaced mine about a year ago with a new dash. The new ones do have a little more reinforcement. Still, I wanted to make sure that the new one would not crack anytime soon. So I epoxied wood paint sticks in different places. I figured the paint sticks would be flexible enough so as not to...

    Quality paint job

One possibility is going somewhere like Maaco. Before I get flamed, places like that skimp on prep work. But their painters are usually decent as they crank out paint jobs one after another. Pay for whatever premium paint they offer. The key is for you to do all of the sanding, filling, taping...

ACDelco getting into the boxed wine business

The only oil I am seeing today at Rockauto is the synthetic blend, not 100% Did they remove the full synthetic?

Anyone tow HEAVY with a Yukon XL Denali?

I have a 28' center console boat with twin 200 outboards. The boat and trailer with fuel are about 7500lbs. My 2008 Yukon XL Denali 2WD does fine with it on the flat lands of South Florida and the Keys. It sags just slightly. But, I think 9K would be pushing it for regular towing. Twice a year...

DIY / Spray gun setup to paint truck?

Since you are new to spraying, you will most likely have a fair amount of orange peel as you learn. I think a 7-inch rotary polisher will be a lot more effective for you instead of a RO. The rotary will be a lot faster at removing orange peel when using a wool bonnet or coarse foam pad. However...

2007 Tahoe. Who still loves theirs?

I have a 2008 Yukon Denali in great shape that I have had since 2010. I tend to rent vehicles for long trips to keep the mileage down on my personal cars. I ha e rented 2017 and 2018 Suburbans. Although they were great vehicles, I didn't see enough different about them other than perhaps...

    Front Center Floor Console

Thanks Mikeyss, I may end doing what you did. It looks like a good idea while maintaining an OEM appearance.

Are the doors warped at all? Mine are bowed from the South Florida heat.

Is Stabilitrak standard on 2007 Yukon XL/Suburban?

    Refurbish Interior Cost? (2012 Suburban)

My apologies everyone, I was going from my apparently faulty memory (I actually bought it about 5 months ago and it sat in my garage for several months until I installed it), I paid $379 for the instrument panel. Still a good price IMO all things considered. I don't have any pics but it is a GM...

    Refurbish Interior Cost? (2012 Suburban)

In the last 3 months I have replaced the dash and front seat covers and foam on my 2008 Yukon Denali. I did the dash my self. It wasn't anything overly complicated but it did take me a full day. I followed one guy on Youtube who was very rough on the replacement (I wouldn't want him doing my...

Black Hitch cover '07-'14 Denali, Escalade, later LTZ

If the sale doesn't go through, please post again as I would want it for my 08 Yukon Denali, just saw this now. Thanks

    More than ever confusion

Manufacture's tend to leap frog each other with each new generation of vehicles. I love my Denali but the new Expedition in most reviews is rated higher then the current Suburban/Yukon models. It is a nicely designed SUV. However, it is good advice to wait a year before buying a new model. On a...

2008 6.2 No compression in two cylinders

The dealer called back today and said it was two broken springs but there is no damage to the valves or cylinders. They will pay for parts (which isn't much I know but better than nothing). Labor will be $430. I certainly could do the valve springs myself (I have built several motors and I have...

2008 6.2 No compression in two cylinders

My 2008 Yukon Denali with 105K miles suddenly started running really bad. The traction control/stabilitrac light came on at the same time. I took it to a local shop who said I need to take it to the dealer. They felt possibly it was the fuel pump module (which has physical damage) and a new one...

    2015 yukon denali gas?

In my Denali, I use 91 octane, I figure even with the higher cost, it is offset by the slight increase in gas mileage because the ignition timing is not retarded. I think I get about 1-2 more mpg with the premium. Plus, there is a slight improvement in performance though it is not that noticeable.

Tow question for a 2011 Tahoe LTZ

Yep you will be fine. Here in Miami you can sit at the boat ramp all day and watch a 100 boats launch and no one will have a WD hitch. There are a few made for boat trailers but they are very rare.
