Random driveline clunk when accelerating from a full stop

I had a similar issue recently and it was the drivers side motor mount. With the new one it feels solid from launch and bump went away. It’s supposed to be a tough install on these trucks so I paid a shop to do it.

Bigger brake caliper color , Lets see some Pics

VHT has a caliper paint color burned copper. I saw a Tundra guy who used it with black rims and the combo looks sick.

How to identify LT vs LTZ on 2016 Tahoe?

Based on the HID headlights I believe it’s an LTZ because the LT had halogen bulbs. I have the exact same model just a different color. A CarFax report will confirm for you though and is a good idea to review anyway.

Extend my warranty past 36,000 or Not??

I had a Tahoe LT for the last 8 years and did most of the maintenance myself. With an extended warranty I would have come out ahead but not by much. Parts were not that expensive and readily a available. Now last month I picked up a 2016 LTZ and added a bumper to bumper to 110k for about $2800...

$139.99 navigation map update for my 2017 Yukon?

If only CarPlay would only open up the Waze app. Apple maps are good but Waze is the best.

Back again in a 2016 LTZ

Man this looks great. It's very close to what I've wanted to do. Did you have the chrome pieces painted at a shop or did you do it yourself?

Almost had my wheels stolen this weekend

Question: Does anyone notify their insurance company that they have custom wheels on their car or just assume they'll cover the loss after the fact? I assume that notifying them you have custom wheels is going to raise your rates right?

Almost had my wheels stolen this weekend

What you want are the Gorilla X2 locking lugs. The head of the nut spins independent of the base so thieves can't just hammer a socket on there and spin it off. I put two different keyed sets on my wheels and never leave the keys in the car unless I'm in it. So far I've had them on my Tahoe for...

    The new "road trip" look

Nice looking ride. What tires are you running on the 22's? I'm looking to replace tires soon and like how those look.

Added a LTZ Suburban to the fleet

3M adhesive remover works pretty well to remove the residue from molding. It also takes lots of elbow grease!

newbee, with 2011 Tahoe, cruise control not working

it's probably the brake switch connected to your brake pedal. I had the same issue. Fix is here and it's a $10 part: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/cruise-control-not-working.27481/

    Plasti Dipped Grill

That looks really good. If you came up behind me on the highway, I'd swear you were TX Highway Patrol.

    Plasti Dipped Grill

How well does the plasti-dipped grill hold up in the car wash? How long before it starts to peel off? I go through the car wash a couple times a week.

Escalade 09 esv intermittent guages go crazy and tranny defaults to 2nd

It's probably your battery ground cable/mount points. I had a similar issue with the flashing messages, door lock/unlock, and random shifting problems. I took it to the dealer and they said it was the electronic braking module and that'll be $800. Not knowing how to fix electrical issues I...

    Need advice on brake rotors

I had the same issue on my 09 and replaced the rotors with OEM but upgraded the pads to EBC Green Stuff SUV and it made a world of difference in braking and these pads last a long time. I'm sure a better rotor would help too but the performance is mostly in the pad.

Repair or Replace Center Console Lid

I had a local upholstery shop reskin mine and i looks brand new. They had the factory pleather in stock with the exact color. Done in a couple hours for $160.

Those with 22" wheels and tires on your suburbans

I changed from 18" to 22" about 6 months ago and really love the look. You do feel the road a little more but not much and it still comfortable to drive. One drawback is that you have to go with street tires to meet the factory size. This is a drawback if you live somewhere that gets snow or...

    Front Dash Crack

I had the dash on my 09 Tahoe replaced a couple weeks ago. Runs $1024 with parts and labor. Ridiculous!

    Upgrade or Repair

Good point Dale. I should just fix everything and then I won't have anything to complain about. I guess all of the folks who would trade it in have already done so and are now in the 2015+ forum. :)

    Upgrade or Repair

I have an 09 Tahoe and have really enjoyed driving it up until recently when things have started to wear out. Dash cracked, console lid vinyl cracked, power window switches fell through, AC is losing it's cool, brakes are starting to shake even after recently changing all rotors and pads, and...

2007 Drivers side blend door cleaning!!

I had this same issue where the driver side would blow only cool air in the summer. The passenger side was ice cold. I took off the actuator and cleaned the contacts as described and put it back in. Boom it's cold again on the driver side. There are a couple things to note though. When taking...

    Cruise control not working

My cruise control has been out for about a year so I just changed out this brake switch and bam it's working again. The trickiest part is getting the clip off. Just know that the piece of the clip covering the dome shaped peg is what needs to be lifted up with a small flat head screwdriver. The...

    NNBS High Mileage

I was wondering if anyone can tell me a what mileage point do you start seeing major repairs on the NNBS Tahoes/Yukons? Is anyone out there over 100K already and still running strong?
