    2003 Escalade 6.0L AWD Suspension

Go on rockauto and get the Moog HD rear coils. I went with KYB Monomax shocks all around. Couldn't be happier.

Drilled out exhaust manifold bolts on head..almost shit myself but no leaks.

Ok, so there is some air gap between end of bolt and head. Good to know thanks man. After the day I had I almost lost it thinking I hit a coolant pocket haha. For anyone attempting this job DONT RUSH IT! Dont be lazy Pull the manifold, only takes 20min Get a center punch, right angle drill...

Drilled out exhaust manifold bolts on head..almost shit myself but no leaks.

So I kept pushing this project back as I new it was going to be a PITA. I had 2 bolts with missing heads on the passenger side rear head. The first one closer to the front I started with a small drill bit that was pretty center. Long story short I got that one with an ez out. The one furthest to...

    Lifting 2003 Yukon Denali

I have a 06 Yukon XL Denali on 285/70/17 (stock wheels) cranked the stock torsion bolts 6 full turns each side. Z71 rear coils off rockauto.com for like $75 and I went with KYB monomax all around to delete the failed auto ride shocks. Rides great and doesn't squat too bad when towing.

Second set of wheels with aftermarket tpms. OEM and aftermarket set work ok?

I understand swapping the oem sensors into the second set of wheels will work no problem. But a second set of tpms into the new wheels along with the oem set. If I want to swap back and forth. I just don't want to have to program back and forth every time with a special tpms tool.

Second set of wheels with aftermarket tpms. OEM and aftermarket set work ok?

06 Yukon XL Denali factory tpms working great. Was thinking of swapping my other wheels from my pickup when I tow. (Much smaller) as a test and because it should take strain of the trans and tow better.. If I put tpms in second set and program to computer can I swap back and forth? I have a...

    Manual switch for efans?

It has the factory cooler which is pretty small but its still something. I did a little reading and you can force the high speed fan by engaging the A/C so I can give that a try. Rigging up a small fan on the cooler would be a pretty simple test too. I might give it a shot. This setup looks...

    Manual switch for efans?

06 Denali XL with electric fans. When driving on beach (50° day). 20-40mph for about 12 miles at a time. I keep it in 2nd gear and truck cruises fine, no real struggle. After about 15 20min trans temps are pushing 225°.. before doing anything extreme I wanted to see if manually engaging the...

Electric fan? If so it's a cake job. A shop will charge 500. More than that your getting ripped. If someone came to me with parts and coolant I would charge 200.

Going backward to a NBS platform

Thank you for the honest review. I'm about a 1000 miles in on a 06 XL Denali. Coming from a 2000 Silverado 2wd the steering on the XL feels vague so I may look into the sway bars your speaking of. I added only an inch bigger tires and the gearing is super tall. The 6.0 is nice when standing on...

New owner, driving on sand AWD questions

Assateague island, Maryland side. I drove about 10-15 miles to the VA border. It rained yesterday but still played it safe and aired down to 20psi. Piece of cake.

Need to know what to do to my 05 Denali

I would wait a month to do anything. You may need budget for regular maintenance items. What size tire are you looking to fit? I am running 285/70/17..basically an inch bigger than stock and you really dont need a lift.

    Upper Control Arm recommendations?

This will be for slightly cranked stock torsion adjusters or maybe rough country keys. Are the fancy ones needed? Thanks

New owner, driving on sand AWD questions

The Denali and Escalade has AWD, so it doesn't have buttons to switch from 2wd to 4hi 4lo..I guess I need to read up on how my system works to take advantage. I have heard of pulling the ABS fuse to disable Stabilitrak and TC to help keep the wheels spinning. To be safe I may invest in those...

New owner, driving on sand AWD questions

I finally found a lower mile family hauler but didn't quite do all my research..2006 Yukon XL Denali. Plan is to use it for camping and beach trips. After realizing this doesn't have a "true" 4wd system I'm starting to wonder if this will work or leave me stuck in the sand. For those of you who...
