Does anyone know what years and models the brushed aluminum pieces (window switches, radio bezel, LH & RH Vents, long center dash piece with 2 vents) were fit to? I'm not talking about people who swap them out after the fact.
From what I can find, brushed aluminum were used in all police...
Have a flashing CEL, super rough idle. This happened 6 weeks ago and went away.Stabilitrack and ABS have been on the whole time. I hooked up a Tech2 and it pulled P0300, P0204, P0206, P0208 Injector Control circuit.
I installed new spark plugs and wires and still have the same problem.
Using a...
Hey Guys!
Who has put in a new ecm/pcm into their vehicle?
I bought a preprogrammed ECM for my 2009 Tahoe LTZ 5.3L. After following the instructions to a "T" ('start' vehicle, ten minutes ignition on, 5 seconds off 3x), the vehicle does not crank, nor start.
Have a 2009 Tahoe LTZ 5.3L, with factory nav radio.
Problem:
Radio stays on when exiting the vehicle and closing the door. Radio stays on if I alarm or don't alarm vehicle after exit.
I unplug the power to the radio (or unplug battery) so that it does not drain my battery. It has always been...
After spending about 2 hours on the 'net, I will answer my own questions in hopes that it may help someone in the future.
Is it normal to have iron/steel upper arms and lower aluminum arms?
Apparently, yes. Aluminum was used to save weight on the LCAs. However, the weight savings doesn't...

Have some window switches with the brush metal finish.
Half the paint is missing from the switches.
Anyone have an idea of what a match would be? I'd like to strip the remaining paint and give it a clean look.

I saw a thread from 4-5 years ago asking about this and instead of necro'ing a thread that contained errors I am creating a new thread.
The 2010-2014 pull handles on the front panels are crap and fall apart. The 07-09s are much stronger and don't fail nearly as often. This is not to be confused...
Hey all!
I was replacing my headliner and notice there isn't any ducting going from the rear AC unit to anything.
Looks like I'm missing some type of ducting that goes from that blower to the roof. The red square on the headliner photo is where the AC would enter the headliner.
So that leads...
Initial issues: heat on driver side, cold air on passenger side. Water dripping on foot with AC on. Intermittent AC. No ac water draining underneath truck when AC is on.
Work done: I pulled the dash out, replaced all actuators except the vent actuator, replaced heater core, replaced evap core...
I have a 2009 Tahoe LTZ. I have no heat unless I set it to 90 on the HVAC control unit. I've narrowed it to a bad cabin Air Temperature Sensor. Some people refer to it as the aspirator but on gm sites, its called a cabin Air Temperature Sensor.
Anyone know the precise location of this sensor...
I pulled my dash (2010 Tahoe LTZ) and hvac box to replace my heater and evap cores, as well as 2 actuators. I'm hoping that someone has recently done a dash pull / R&R evap and heater core job as they may know where this connection goes.
I've got the hvac and dash back in and most of the wiring...
