I've actually seen this as a problem before researching. Hard to believe it could be the problem with mine. It is a dual post battery and I have the Big Three going to the top posts. I wouldn't think both sides were broken but they could be. Still been driving the beater 99 I got for $2k! I need...
Engine light ONLY. No crank, no dome light etc.. Only the engine comes on with key. I'll make sure the battery is charged all the way. It jumped and ran for 20 minutes. Could my alternator have not been charging? If not, how did it run with a dead battery for so long?
03 Tahoe only mods Big Three and aftermarket radio.
This Tahoe has given me some hell. It's super clean and I love it though!
I had trouble with gauges, no starting etc.. Cleaned all the ground connections and ran fine for awhile. Eventually the gremlins came back intermittently. I found that...
Okay, I need to get sound for five listeners from the factory DVD player for my kids. The single headphones that came with the truck aren't a possibility.
I have an aftermarket Head Unit. Can I just run a 3.5 to a powered portable speaker of some sort? Don't mind listening to what's on the...
Shocks! All four. Went the stupid cheap route from A1 Auto. TRQ for $104.95 shipped to my door.
The passenger rear was covered with "mud" so I figured it was time to change them out. That one wouldn't rebound at all after I got it out. The drivers rear was completely seized... Wouldn't move at...
Original!! Haha.. it's gone. I've Googled the recommended PSI. I'm wondering if anyone runs a specific street setup for the best ride. Went to 32. Put front to 35 and 33 rear. I think I'm going to go up to 35 in the rear as well.
Piston slap doesn't concern me at all. Doesn't hurt anything. I didn't notice it before, bit I was starting it alot. It did sit overnight though and it goes away so quickly I may not have noticed or didn't start moving moving so no revs and didn't hear it The oil filter could have an internal...
Definitely. It's a Purolator. What was on it was a K&N. I'm going to buy a K&N and switch it out tomorrow even though I think the Purolator is a better filter. Hopefully that's the end of it. I was trying to get some input as to how a filter would cause my issue. The differences etc.. I've only...
I recently changed my oil for the first time in my 03 Tahoe. Used Amsoil Signature and a 10,000 mile Purolator filter from Advance. Slight knock at Cold start that goes away after a block or two of driving. Wasn't there before. Oil filter valve? Thanks!
I'm going to take the "don't mess with it until I have to approach" for now. I don't want to get in there and mess things up to the point I have to replace the harness or really spend a lot of time on it again. I may just to look and if it looks easy enough I'll tackle it. I'll drive around a...
Big Three and all grounds except for back of block grounds cleaned and reattached. They don't come off when I pull them and no corrosion on the main to body.
When I move the box holding the pcm towards the body just a bit the gauge goes crazy and it even died once. When I let off, it goes back...
Where would I spray this? There is some corrosion in between the wires to the pcm. If there is corrosion, there has to be bade wire right? Or possibly wet wire above it and trickle down?
I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER!!
So.. very light sprinkling and the abs/brake flashed on and off real quick on me.
I did run a power wire and hooked an amp and subs up. Thumping! No trouble until the drizzle though..
Nothing. Longer drive needed. Last night it was pretty much a constant. Only change is unplugging and plugging back in pcm connectors and rerouting wires so no weight on pcm box.
Pulled pcm out and inspected everything. The wire bundle on one looked to have some corrosion between the wires but I didn't see any bare metal? Going for a spin.
