I was able to fix my door handle. It wasn't awful...but I don't want to do the other three, lol!
I posted a video of the fix. Hopefully it helps someone out.
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Just wanted to come back and post an update for anyone trying to find a solution. I hate when you find a forum thread that is your exact problem only to be left hanging.
My issue was the under the hood fuse block. There are some hardwired relays on it that communication with...
Tried an OEM camera unit from Amazon with free returns. So no real risk to try it out.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the issue.
I may have the dealer check into it when I get some recall work done in the near future. Maybe a software flash will snap it back into shape. I hate these weird gremlins.
Does anyone have any idea which fuse controls the rear camera? All of the fuse diagrams I can find aren’t very helpful. I’m guessing it might be part of another circuit and unlabeled. Thanks!
I’m guessing they disconnected the battery when they rebuild the transmission. I believe that would reset the main radio unit. I think that is what fixed it. Nothing really to do with the transmission, more to do with disconnecting the battery.
Little bump since it’s acting up again.
Only lead I have is this part: 84511038. It’s a video processing module. But it’s $400 and might need to be programmed.
Others have replaced the entire front entertainment head unit.
So tired of this money pit. Rebuilt transmission, busted AC /...
I hear you and you're not wrong.
In this case I opted to let the shop do it. Total cost was actually only $725.
I was losing AC coolant along with ATF fluid.
They sucked out my AC coolant saved it, then topped it off. That's something I don't have the equipment to do. I imagine I would've lost...
Well here’s what the deal is…
In front of the radiator is the AC condenser. They decided to integrate the trans cooker into the AC condenser. Why??? Who knows.
Mine has a hole that’s spraying fluid back towards the fan which is flinging it everywhere.
So it’s essentially a radiator job...
I don’t know guys…
Cleaned everything up. Ran the car for about 20 min looking everywhere. Lines look good. Connections look good. No seeping in that lower drivers side spot. The “crack” in that one pic is just the mold seam. Unless it’s cracked on the bottom I’m stumped.
I’m going to run it...
I see what y’all are taking about. I need to get back to it in the daylight. The other pics I posted still aren’t great.
I can handle a radiator. Just don’t want to replace it only to find the problem still there.
Yeah, sorry. The first pic isn’t great. Here’s a few more. I traced the tube path. It’s easy to see in person but tough to get a pic of if that makes sense.
There are only 2 connections on the drivers side of the radiator (not counting the big coolant hose).
One goes into the top of the...
The passenger side of the radiator is clean and dry at all connections.
There’s only 1 line going to the drivers side. The connection at the top drivers side going into the radiator is clean and dry. The connection toward the bottom doesn’t go into the radiator. It’s an in line connection. I...
Can you leak only ATF fluid from the radiator? My antifreeze reservoir level is good and not contaminated with ATF.
Seems like if one leaks the other would too?
This Yukon might be the end of me...
2015 Yukon, 160K miles. Just had the transmission rebuilt about 10K miles ago. Noticed some fluid in the driveway...trans fluid, crap.
Removed the plastic skid plate and honestly there's fluid EVERYWHERE. I can't isolate where it's coming from. It looks to...
This issue was intermittent but now is seemingly permanent.
It started as a “Service Rear Vision System” warning but I still had an image. Now it’s just a blue screen with the service warning. Every now and then the image pops in but not often.
I’ve read of others replacing the camera to no...
I don't notice it anymore. However I did run a few cans of Seafoam through it. Maybe I had 2 issues but the transmission took priority. I imagine I could still use plugs and wires but after the trans, new pads and rotors all around and oil change I'm tired of messing with this thing for a bit.
UPDATE…
What a weird saga this has been. A bigger issue came up with my Yukon. The transmission puked. So that was a fun $5K I didn’t really want to spend.
When I got the truck back from the shop my son opened the LCD screen and it was magically fixed. I couldn’t believe it.
I imagine they...
UPDATE…
Well in my case it was the beginning stages of a transmission failure. It wasn’t hesitation, it was slipping.
I big shout out to GM for ignoring the issues of their 6 speed transmissions. I was hoping to drop $5K on a rebuild.
