03 tahoe transfercase problem
Ok so from I was reading on google this does happen more often then I knew. Apparently the clutch lever gets play in it causing the pins to come lose and fall out if it's not caught in time. Once that happens the fluid will leak out and fry the transfercase. So I'm going to say it's safe to say...- Jbsavage

No it's mostly fluid, it does have a oil leak but it's not that bad. I'm gonna be replaceing the transmission and transfer case here in the next couple months just was hopeing to get it sealed up and some new fluid in it to get it buy till I can replace it. So i have a 2003 z71 tahoe. I knew the 4wd was messed up when I bought it in was told it was a actuator so i wasent to worried about it. But I was under there today looking for a exhaust leak and noticed there is a part missing from the tcase I dont know what goes there. It's on the bottom...- Jbsavage

It's crazy but the way it's set up right it runs great. I had a kid try to race me in his Silverado the other day on I10 coming home from Alabama and he couldnt pass me I held it till it hit about 95 mph he gave up so I let out of it lol.... it has a lot of get up and go where it's at right now...- Jbsavage

Yeah I love the sound. But that's not the only reason behind the cam. I want more performance out of it also. After reading all this I have some thinking to do for sure. Thanks alot to all of you for the input- Jbsavage

Looking to cam my 03 tahoe
Yeah I have 22x12 rims with 33x12.50xr22 tire not 100% sure what gears are in it at the moment I just got it a couple weeks ago. But i plan on regearing because i plan on lifting it with 35 inch tires on the 22s that are on it now.- Jbsavage

Thanks for the info guys I definitely planned to do the heads I just forgot to mention that. I had debated on putting a set of texas speed heads on it but I dint know if the budget will allow for that at the moment. I never even thought about the timing chain so thanks for that. Looking to cam my 03 tahoe
So I'm looking to put a BTR or a Texas speed stage 4 cam in my 03 tahoe z71. It has 132k miles on it. Does anyone have any input on any things I may want to upgrade while doing this. The transmission is getting built right befor I do the cam swap and I'll be putting a circle D torque converter...- Jbsavage

Thank you. I have only had it a couple weeks I have a lot of work cut out for me to fix all the previous owners mistakes. Hood gap 03 Tahoe
So I took the bottom plastic off today, and the bolts on the bottom of the bumper are bent like 2 inchs. And it looks like there may even be a few other bent parts under there. So I will be replaceing the whole bumper with a move winch bumper and I may go as far as replaceing the radiator core... -

So I just bought my first Tahoe this weekend, and figured I would join a group for them. It's a 2003 has 131k miles on it. And the squat will be getting fixed just waiting on the spacers to come in the mail.- Jbsavage
