    Dash cracking

    There is a Facebook page dedicated to this issue. Covers the years from 07 - 2015 on Tahoes Suburbans, pickups, etc. GM refuses to acknowledge the issue. Problem is, people are spending upward of $1000 or more to get a replacement only to have it crack as well.

    Bad I-Shaft?..not worth fixing?

    That replacement shaft is about $65 from GMPARTSDIRECT.com and takes about 20 minutes of your time. I suffered with that rattle for many years and now it is gone. 5K miles and I'm noise and vibration free.

    crying and coughing out $ 2500 for tranny

    I had to replace mine on my 2000 Tahoe at 62000 miles. Cost me $2800 at the local dealer. Interestingly, it came with a 3 yr./50000 warranty which is more than what the Tahoe came with when I bought it new in 2000.
