10 day "mini makeover" project on Yukon- New guy here

Spraying wasn't hard at all, much easier than paint. When it first dried there were faint lines in it, that kind of freaked me out because I hate that about liner paint jobs but once it dried it was perfectly uniform with no lines. I pulled masking after an hour and it pulled clean with no lifting.

Yes I did the screen also, it was pretty much completely plugged off. Seems to have fixed the issue. The wife loves it. The pictures I posted are a couple of days old and I have it back in the garage. I'm back working now so I have been claying, compounding, polishing and sealing a section at a...

10 day "mini makeover" project on Yukon- New guy here

I did think of doing the whole thing but this is still our "going to town" vehicle so I didn't go too far. I feel like doing the whole vehicle looks better on lifted offroad vehicles. I do have a Cummins on 35's that I'm thinking of doing the whole body on. One other snag in this project, one...

To sell or not to sell, looking for opinions

Like already stated above, I'd stick with the one you have. Getting into a different vehicle always brings a risk, if it's used there is a BIG chance that someone is getting rid of it for a reason or pending issue, hopefully you can find that on the inspection. Buying new brings great piece of...

This is where I'm at now, still need to do a full clay, cut and polish as the paint is pretty rough up close.

10 day "mini makeover" project on Yukon- New guy here

Hello all. I had mentioned on a different thread I would make a post of the "mini makeover" on my 2014 XL Denali. Its my wife's main DD and we live on gravel so it has had a rough few years, Rockers and lower doors/wheel wells are all rock chipped and starting to get a bit of surface rust, rims...

Auto-level compressor running with ignition off

Thanks for the clarification! I am planning on going with splash guards now that I have gotten rid of the running boards. My list is starting to get pretty long. Found I had a front pinion leak and a front control link missing last week while I was looking this over. I did the pinion seal the...

Auto-level compressor running with ignition off

Thanks for the warm welcome and, you're right. I was surprised to get such fast replies. The Yukon is my Wifes DD and I haven't done much to it yet. I am about to start a bit of a 'make over' on it for her. We live on a gravel road and the paint is getting ROUGH at the bottom. Not rusting yet...

Auto-level compressor running with ignition off

Ok, it just didn't seem like it should be running with the ignition off. In the 6 years I've had it I never had the compressor kick in with the ignition off even when hooking on a trailer, it always waited until I started it. I should have added that right before I got the fuse pulled the...

Auto-level compressor running with ignition off

Hello all. New member, long time lurker. I have a 2014 Yukon XL Denali with Autoride/level. One night about an hour after parking in the garage, my wife could hear a noise coming from the garage, I headed out and the compressor was running non stop, air-shocks were rock hard. I checked the...
