2002 5.3 intake manifold gasket replacement.

I finally got this done. It was pretty easy once I got time. My idle is finally perfect again and maybe I will even get the check engine light to turn off.

How many miles have your Tahoe put down in the road?

This is my 2002 Tahoe and I currently have it loaded to just under 6,500 lb constantly using it for heating and air conditioning repair and Appliance repair. I'm looking for a truck but it's getting me by until I can afford something. When I am no longer using this for work I want to put all new...

    AC Troubleshooting

The license is literally $25 and an open book test. You pretty much can't fail. I got mine through MACS https://macsmobileairclimate.org/ The free license manual is really good and I learned a few things from it. r134a is not bad for the ozone but it is a "greenhouse gas" so you are legally...

    AC Troubleshooting

If you get your refrigerant license you can get a 30 lb tank for about $4 a pound and then you can accurately charge it with a scale. talking about Chevy's using Tapatalk

2002 5.3 intake manifold gasket replacement.

I still haven't got the knock sensor harness but I finally changed my fan clutch which was needing changed 3 years ago and was totally shot now. I also upgraded to the heavy duty clutch because it had problems with the transmission cooling and the ac at stops. talking about Chevy's using Tapatalk

2002 2wd Tahoe rear springs upgrade.

I just got weighed this morning and my truck weighed 6140 lb so with me in it I can add another 200 lb before I'm over the 6500 lb weight limit. [emoji16] It's all good. talking about Chevy's using Tapatalk

2002 2wd Tahoe rear springs upgrade.

It rides surprisingly well. I centered the load this time instead of putting it all in the back and although I think I'm basically sitting on bump stops it's not as bad as it used to be because the bump stops aren't fully compressed. [emoji1787] talking about Chevy's using Tapatalk

2002 2wd Tahoe rear springs upgrade.

Mine has standard shocks and springs. No air ride or anything. It didn't have a true towing package because it didn't have the auxiliary transmission cooler but I upgraded to the factory auxiliary cooler and had the 4l60e built by bowtie overdrives in california. talking about Chevy's using...

2002 2wd Tahoe rear springs upgrade.

I am needing to upgrade my rear springs to something a bit heavier because with the way I am currently loaded it is touching the bump stops. I looked on rock Auto and it looks like I could upgrade to moog or ac delco z71 springs (i think they would just bolt in) or husky springs or dayton Cargo...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I am not letting go of the bed just the truck. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I utility bed manufacturer from southern california. Their add shows something like 6 guys standing on the top box lid and they really are that good. I climbed all over that bed getting refrigerant tanks out and loading and unloading ladders. It is sure going to be missed. The buckboard ride of...

Scrap metal. The bed is a really nice Scelzi though so I just need to find a new GM to put it on. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I used the Tahoe like this for 2 years and about 50,000 miles before I got the ford which only lasted me one year before I couldn't keep up with the repairs and declared it totaled. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yep. 250,000 miles and the motor, transmission and ac all quit in rapid succession. The fix with ford parts would cost $10,000 in parts. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Heat, air, refrigeration and appliances. I am looking for a 3/4 or 1 ton GM to replace the ford because I don't really like using the Tahoe like this. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I cleaned (sorta) my 2002 Tahoe and set it up for my work. The 1 ton ford couldn't handle real work so I am back in the Tahoe. I think I need to replace the rear springs with heavy duty ones because I am touching the bump stops. 275,000 miles and counting. Sent from my moto g(7) play using...

    Possible e85problems?

That's where it pays off. With a modified engine. My Tahoe goes from 18 mpg to 12 mpg on e85 because it is stock and can't take advantage of the higher octane. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk

    Possible e85problems?

That's pretty much what I do. My 2002 Tahoe is the 85 capable and though I have used it once or twice out of curiosity I was not impressed and I did the cost per BTU math and figured out that gasoline is cheaper so I don't use it anymore. My understanding is that 85 in a stock engine will never...

    Difference in Michelin tires?

My understanding is they build to older cheaper standards for costco but they are still excellent Michelin quality just a generation behind. So basically you would be getting the same thing they may have been selling 10 years ago or something like that. I love my defenders from discount tire...

2002 5.3 intake manifold gasket replacement.

I was sure hoping to do this this weekend but I just called the dealer to find out where my parts were and the knock sensor harness is backordered with no eta. [emoji3525] Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
