Mostly Stock NBS 5.3 Tune File HPT

You will find a bunch of tune files to check out on HPTuners Gen3 section. I'd offer mine, but it's for a 6.0l, 4L80e, LT Headers, Cat delete, EGR delete, dual exhaust and custom fuel tables. Taz

    Tow/Haul Mode

Nope. BB only tunes the ECU with HPTuners. Turn signals are a part of the BCM. HPTuners doesn't do BCM modules...EVEN though it's stated in their friggin add literature. I would not have bought HPTuner if I knew it only did the ECU!!! I had to get a Tech2 to do the BCM's. Ugh! Taz

OMG! New Cluster! I am Sooooo Happy! :-)

For 02 and earlier, they use air core gauges where 03 and up use synchro motors which fail I've read. I converted my 02 to a newer Escalade style by replacing the gauge face and lens from USSpeedo. Com. The air core gauges are expensive and generally do not fail. I used dark blue window tint to...

Best aftermarket tail light options with Barn Doors?

If your still looking, let me know. I just went through the whole search and learn. I have 2 sets of rears and ordering a set of C-Types to go with my new Halo Projectors fronts and projector fog lamps. If you want a set of the rears, they are yours for the shipping. Or come by the Garage...

Best way to replace wiring-yeah all of it. Ugh...

Thank you but that's life. Can't change it. Thanks for the info. I have never heard of crimp and shrink wrap connectors. Personally I prefer solder and shrink wrap myself. I would think all the wiring in the engine bay would eventually have issues. The body and interior not so much. Taz

Best way to replace wiring-yeah all of it. Ugh...

Thanks for all the replies and info. I don't have any issues at the moment. And I would prefer not to have any issues in the next 20 years. I'm 59, I have been fighting cancer for 6 years, had 7 major surgeries, lost so much weight I was anorexic, 6' 115lbs...I've gained 20 lbs. this year, yeah...

Best way to replace wiring-yeah all of it. Ugh...

Yep, the plugs, modules, actuators, etc will all be different. I have no problems replacing anything or everything, just need to know which way others have done it. After while, all the cool new parts money adds up and it would be a shame to have old wiring causing issues. Case and point, take...

Best way to replace wiring-yeah all of it. Ugh...

Hey all, SO after doing a ton of work on my 01 Yukon, there is no way I'm ever getting rid of it. Everything on it is new or close to it...except the wiring. What is the best way to replace all the wiring when rebuilding an 20 year old vehicle? Has anyone gone the route of a crashed newer model...

I'd like to buy a vowel please. Building a badge.

Thanks for the replies. I looked at both the Denali and Tahoe badges, the lettering looked to be the same size as the "A" I have...about 1.5" wide. I found these Duramax Badges that had a picture with a ruler next to it which helps. I'll post the final result. Thanks, Taz

I'd like to buy a vowel please. Building a badge.

Give me an "A"... I am making a custom badge (TAZ Edition) for my Yukon and I need an "A". I used the "T" and "Z" from a LTZ badge and used a Texas Edition badge. The picture shows what I have so far. I need an "A" about the size of the LTZ badge from any make or model. The "A" from the...

X or H pipe for dual exhaust?

Thanks for the help. We put the wideband on bank 1, drivers side right at the elbow coming off the header. The Aem 300 comes in tomorrow so I can get serious about tuning. Thanks again, Taz<- cruising in "style". Like Gallager - stiiilllle.

X or H pipe for dual exhaust?

Hey everyone, I had my exhaust rebuilt when I put long tube headers on. I did a CAT and EGR delete. The muffler shop put two Maganflo mufflers in and ran separate tubes out each side. He forgot to add the wideband bungs so I have to go back. Where should the wideband bungs go? And do I need two...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thank you. I think it's coming out nice. It started life as a green university band SUV. Now it's my cancer project and when the carbon fiber and leather work are done, I'll do a write up. Taz P.S. Who knows where to get a big brake kit that fits or even a hub carrier replacement. I've checked...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thank you. I took 2 - 4 and 1/2 inch coax and separated the Tweeter out of them. Then I mounted them to 1/4 inch carbon fiber plate and fabricated mounts for it. It's tight and if you remove the Tweeter out of the center of the woofer cone they fit. Taz
