Spot balling here:
-new bolts used for install on gear box and idler arm mount?
- no frame cracks or fatigue where the bolts mount for idler and gear box?
- since everything is new I doubt the pitman and idler arm are the issue. But I would check out cognito Motorsports pitman and idler arm...
Is magnaride a stand alone option on the z71? I was under the impression you could only get magnaride on the z71 if you have the air suspension. I know it's different for other trim levels like the premier, high country and Denali.
I used similar links on my Tahoe and raised it roughly 1". It seems to be a slightly former ride, and I would emphasize just slightly. Pretty happy at the price point and ease of install.
My wife has a 2022 GLE350 and it's been a great car. Very comfortable even with not having the air suspension. For being a midsize SUV I fit very well in it, plenty of headroom, and shoulder width. I'd drive a GLE if someone took my Tahoe away
@nick14226 I went the same route. Best combination of size, weight and pricing I could find.
Edgymods links raised about an inch. 38" fender height all the way around.
I won't say it works as well as a full time awd car. I still experience some binding during sharp turns when using auto 4wd that I never experienced in our GX460. Under normal usage someone probably won't experience outter tire wear, but my wife thinks she is Mario Andretti and guns it often...
I have an air ride suspension Tahoe as well and my tires wore the same way. My wife drive it for 4 months while we waited on her car to come in and left it in auto 4wd. I hope that's what caused the bad wear and not a bigger issue with the air ride.
The Midlothian lot is jam packed with SUV's. I've never seen this lot so full during the 5 years I've lived in the area. It's my understanding that the Arlington plant is sending a lot of these suvs to the Midlothian lot so they can wait on chips and then transport them back to the plant to get...
What was your main issue with the GM performance exhaust, was it sound? Did you got with the dual exit or the single?
The brakes look good. After spending what they want for them, I'd show them off as well. Post up some pics of them behind your current wheels.
Z71 and at4s do not get lifts. The height comes from bigger tires alone. I'd bet money the front suspension on the SUVs matches the trucks, if I had a none air ride z71 I'd get the trailboss "lift" to get the longer cvs and a little higher ride height. Tons of companies making UCAs for the...
I agree completely. My 19 Silverado with the 8 speed just felt lazy compared to the 10 speed. I thought people were being dramatic when they compared the two but they were all correct.

That's still a decent deal. Seems like they are giving you a discount when, honestly, they really don't have to. They could sell it to someone else for MSRP.

38.5" in the back and a 38-1/8” in the front.
I'm thinking of doing the edgy mods links to keep it at this height since I haven't noticed and adverse effects driving it around on this setting. UCAs and CVs are similar, If not better than what my trail boss had.

Can you get some fender measurements when you get some free time? I'd like to compare your height on your current setup to mine with air suspension on the 2nd highest setting.
Your Tahoe looks great.
