When I press the fog light button there is this weird sound coming from the back of the truck. When the fog light button is pressed, it activates something in the cargo door or the back passenger side of the car.
Other observances:
- It doesn't sound like the rear wiper, that works great.

Update I went on a roadtrip from Texas-Utah-Nebraska and the check engine light went on in Dallas. In Santa Fe found out the alternator was bad and after replacing the alternator the check engine light went away.
2002 Tahoe with 228,000 miles and working to get everything fixed on it. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just good tires that will work well in all weather, not slip out in the rain and manage dirt/gravel reads well. The previous owner put smaller tires on the truck yet I'm looking for...
I see it says 2003-2007, will that work on a 2002 Tahoe?
Also I see this thread from 2010 talking about the 4hi mod: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/the-super-easy-4-hi-mod-for-00-02-vehicles.8742/
Will read through that, it may have the answer for 6hi or 8hi. Thanks.
I have a 2002 Tahoe LT, 228,000 miles.
Ideally I want all lights on when I turn on the high beams(daytime running, fog, low and high beam) to turn on and looking through Youtube there are several videos showing how to do it. Do you have any experience with modding your headlights to have more...
Hi, I have a 2002 Tahoe LT, 228,000 miles. I used an Innova 3030f reader that NAPA let me borrow. If there is something more serious I would like to get it fixed ASAP though. I'm not sure how to clear the code in the history yet I am about to take the truck for it's February 2021 inspection...
I got the Bilstein 4600's, been riding on them for about 2 weeks now. The driving experience is so much better. The old worn out shocks made the truck feel like it was going to fall off the road.
I started the truck with engine idle for a minute and heard a pop coming from the back and at first it sounded like a book fell into a box yet then I realized I don't have any books or boxes in the cargo area. After that sound the Check Engine light came on. No noticeable change in driving...
I have a 2002 with these fender flares and as much as I LOVE the truck I think these things look awful and faded. I was in a parking lot today and noticed some other Tahoe's do not have this and looking forward to getting these removed. Do they perform any function?
The truck stalled once when I allowed the take to hit 1/4. After that I pretty much fill the take when I see it get between 1/2 - 3/4. When the truck stalled out in the desert mountain it had about 3/4 of a tank and between 1/2 - 3/4 when it stalled ~70 miles later.
I imagine this is a part no one want to mess with. Looks like I'll be getting this part: Fuel Pump - GM (19153713)
How was the job for you, any quick tips? It looks like Youtube has some good tutorials so I'll look there. Messing with gallons of gasoline is not something I am currently...
First time poster mistake lol. Thank you.
Thank you both. I called a headlight restoration shop a while back and when they asked if water was inside the assembly they said they cannot do a restoration. Looks like they are wrong.
If you would skip the restoration option which specific...
New 2002 Tahoe owner with 220,000 miles on it. The previous owner told me not to let it go below 1/4 tank or it will not start. A couple weeks ago I did allow it to go below 1/4 a tank and it did not start until I put 2 gallons in tank.
Fast forward to last weekend I drove out to Big Bend in...
Bought a 2002 Tahoe and the subwoofer is blown from the previous owner. I am looking for the GM genuine OEM replacement yet cannot seem to find it. I'm not looking for anything fancy, I just want good sound without having to mess with fuses, amps, wiring or other stuff. I am not knowledgeable on...
I just bought a 2002 Tahoe with 220,000 miles on it for $2000 and love it. It needs work and my goal is to get it back to excellent condition.
The headlights/turn signal plastic lenses are yellow and fogged up and I want to replace them with the genuine GM OEM headlight assembly. According to...
