Yup.....bought extended warranties on both of our Toyotas.....they turned out to be a waste of money....traded an 08 Sequoia in on the Tahoe.....146k on the odometer......in 12 years....only thing to break was a water pump.....2013 Tundra going strong at 101k miles....no issues.....wife wanted...

Keep your WeatherTech's or Husky Mats Clean

I've used it. They used to sell it in larger quantities than just the spray bottle size. It doesn't work any better than anything else. The protectant is the product you want

    Need some input

Some decent advice in the previous thread....all except for recommending any Chemical Guys polish. The CG line of abrasives is among the worst in the industry. I'd also recommend a panel wipe, using a product like Car Pro Eraser in between your polishing step and application of any LSP...

    Top Coat F11

F11 is decent product, but there are several in the same category at a much less painful price point. They have a huge following among the motorcycle crowd, which is where they got their foothold. One of the reasons it is not taken seriously is their own advertisements.....and claims that...

PSA Slick Products Garden Hose Foam Cannon

Just for clarity.... a foam cannon is used with a pressure washer, a foam gun is used with a garden hose.

Keep your WeatherTech's or Husky Mats Clean

Any APC (all purpose cleaner) will get your mats clean. I use Optimum Power Clean at a 5:1 dilution, OPC is a little on the pricey side....you can buy Meguiars D101 for around 20.00 a gallon and make 5 gallons of it at that dilution ratio. The trick is keeping them protected between...

2019 tahoe - running board question

I've been told CeraKote works very well for running boards and does not make them slippery.

    Exterior Hand Washing

Thanks for the heads up on that. So far, the SunJoe is holding up well.....but with these things, you never know when they will decide to quit. The fittings on them are garbage, and I upgraded the hose to a KobraJet from Obsessed Garage

In the event you do not have a pressure washer, here's a good alternative that I believe uses your regular garden hose: https://www.theunderwasher.com/

    Exterior Hand Washing

I know a lot of guys use the Greenworks, as well as the Karchers.....I doubt that the specs that SunJoe publishes are accurate....I just know that it works okay for washing. I've seen those swivels....definitely a purchase that I need to make. These electirc pressure washers are inexpensive...

    Exterior Hand Washing

Interesting process. What pressure washer do you use? What is the PSI and GPM of the unit? I use a SunJoe SPX3000 electric pressure washer.....rated at 2300 PSI and 1.76 GPM....both way way overstated. That being said, it has more than enough power to wash a vehicle. As far as sequence of...

    Terry towels

For general microfiber needs, look no further than the Rag Company. If, however, you're looking for the best drying towel known to exist, then Griots Garage PFM (Pure Freakin Magic) drying towel is the one you want. Search any detailing forum you want and you'll hear the same advice. The PFMs...

    Ceramic coating for chrome wheels

Unless you're coating your wheels with a product like CQuartz Dlux (as suggested in post #23) , or a similar product like Gyeon Rim, you're likely only going to see a short-term benefit for your efforts. My wife's Yukon came with those giant chrome wheels, which I hate. They're a maintenance...

    Ceramic coating for chrome wheels

Waxing wheels with normal car wax provides a very short-lived benefit. Heat is the biggest enemy of wax, and with the amount of heat around your wheels, that protection breaks down very quickly. The only wax that would last a little longer is one that is designed to withstand higher temps...

    Exterior Hand Washing

New member here...at least as far as owning a Yukon....but not new to detailing. There are lots of good trim protectants out there....some short term...some longer term. Trim on the new Yukon has been protected with CQuartz Dlux, as have the wheels. I just used 303 Graphene on it....mostly as...
