memory seat with a mind of its own

Could you elaborate on that? Calibration? I figure the calibration happens when I set the seat memory options, or are you talking about something else?

memory seat with a mind of its own

I have a 2004 tahoe, and for some reason, almost every time we start the vehicle our memory settings are gone, and the seat moves into random positions. It's getting quite annoying and I don't really know where to start. It works for a day, and then I hop in and it shoves me into the steering...

    Passenger Floorboard leak not dexcool

Thanks guys, I haven't put any silicon lube on the tracks but other than that I have cleaned out all the leavs under hood and the sunroof areas. I tried to keep all that clean from the date of purchase since it already had 165k on it. Now that I'm at 208k I need to start looking at keeping up...

    Passenger Floorboard leak not dexcool

I chased this down a few times, but the issue never came back. We have had awful storms, and I have tried recreating the issue, but it will not come back. I have no clue what caused it, I'm glad it hasn't happened again. I almost wonder if the drip may have come from condensation buildup behind...

    Passenger Floorboard leak not dexcool

I have a 2004 tahoe LT 2wd 5.3 After completing work on the vehicle Sunday, we had 2 days of no issues but during a heavy rain yesterday in GA, I found the floorboard on the passenger side to be soaked. You could trace where the leak is landing and it seems to be coming from directly under the...

    rear seat entertainment

Has anybody upgraded the RSE? I love having the unit but I wonder if there is a way to swap it out with the newer BluRay models? We have a lot of bluray movies now and it'd be nice to swap it out to something different. Maybe this has been discussed but search didn't help me find what I was...

Stepper motor replaced, Speedo still not working

Ok, I went ahead and replaced the speed sensor, as it's hard not to justify the 3 min of work and $11 part, but it's still not working. Reminder: everything else on the dash is good. Does anybody know exactly what all I need to look at when I pull the board out of the dash? It seems as if some...

Stepper motor replaced, Speedo still not working

what is the name of the sensor that I'm looking for? The handheld I have has weird names for everything and I don't see a straight "speedometer sensor" label anywhere.

Stepper motor replaced, Speedo still not working

Every other issue has been fixed water pump, MAF, Alt, serpentine belt, AC belt, washer reservoir, washer motor. I am somewhat new to trouble shooting vehicles, and hoping that I can find the issue. I will say: I need a new oil pan gasket, as this one is obviously bad. Not sure if that can...

Stepper motor replaced, Speedo still not working

Is there anybody that has any input on this? Not having a speedometer is getting old. The speedo is now randomly reading over 120mph, then will just drop all the way to 0mph

Stepper motor replaced, Speedo still not working

I recently got a set of new bulbs and stepper motors to replace on my gauges. After swapping out the tach, it now works, and I swapped 2 different ones into the speedo, but the speedo is still acting weird. The first one jumped 10mph everytime I started the tahoe, and the second one never moved...

    P0101 P0171 P0174 help

did not see a leak anywhere, I also tried the TB cleaner, didn't try water though....just don't have a spray bottle to use for it. If I put smoke in there, and no leaks...I'm guessing it's just the MAF I need to replace. Well as long as it gets me through this smog check.

    P0101 P0171 P0174 help

Delphi, so it looks to be OEM. I need to do a smoke test then and see if I need to get intake manifold gaskets. My 0101 code came back but the 171 and 174 have not yet. I'll do a smoke test with a cigar in a few to check it. Standby

    P0101 P0171 P0174 help

Going ahead and starting the thread, couldn't find anyone with the same codes that completed their thread with an actual fix. P0101, P0171, P0174 all showed up Already cleaned MAF and TB then blew out a somewhat new looking air filter (not a K&N style reusable) Codes went away for about 4...

    Mode Door Actuator Replacement

It looks like removing the console wouldn't really even help all that much. My problem is my hands are too big to fit in the location needed to put the socket on the screw. Plus there's a steel frame for the console that's still in the way once I get the plastic bits pulled off.

    Mode Door Actuator Replacement

aaaaah, my kids are 2 and under....I need to find someone to help with that then. I will say this, I will not be putting that screw back in its place, the other two hold it up more than enough.

    Mode Door Actuator Replacement

Ok, I gotta ask, how the hell do you get to the left screw under the passenger side when you have a center console? I spent about 20 minutes and was able to turn it 2.5 turns maybe, now I can’t get a socket on it at all

    TBSS Intake swap?

Has anyone actually completed a dyno run before and after the TBSS intake swap? Just found that Rockauto sells the genuine GM part for 130$ so it looks like a darn easy and cheap performance mod to get me moving.....but, not sure how much TQ gain i could actually get down low

    All Weather floor mats

I went on the Husky liner website, and it looks like they only have one unit for the 2nd or 3rd row. Did you just purchase that 2x and put one on each row? Or was there a specific unit you purchased for the 2nd row?

    Yes, it's an A/C post

So how do I check if the actuator is the problem? Do I need that scanner, cause I can do it, just might be a week or so before I can get to it. And what is a good brand of blend door actuator? doorman? ACDelco?

    Yes, it's an A/C post

So I did a reset of the AC again last night. While it went through a 2 minute cycle reset, it blew hot, cold, and medium air. This morning while I'm driving, it blew 74° air right off the bat, so we were good there, then I turned it down to 60° and it blew colder air, but when I turned it up to...
