    2021 Tahoe Diesel - Upfit like Z71with Bumper | Tires & Wheels

There are no aftermarket bumpers. There are no skid plates. There are no suspension lift kits. There’s nothing — if you expected anything but driving it stock, you will be disappointed, like I was.

Need advice suggestions New Owner Yukon Denali 2021

Mine also smelled like burnt plastic / rubber / hot asphalt after driving. The smell went away after 100-200 km.

How about some gas mileage reports?

Here’s what I get. Not great I know, I complained to the service people at the dealership, they explained the truck isn’t broken in yet and the mileage will get better over time. :)

The website says these are +25mm offset.

    Small wheels big tires!!

Yes, these are 275/70/18 KO2s on Envy rims.

    Small wheels big tires!!

You can run 275/70/18 without lifting or leveling. It’s just a fraction of an inch larger than stock Denali which is already 33” at 275/50R22. And the spare tire is 17” so 18” fits over the brakes without issues. That’s exactly what my Denali is running:

    N202310850 Airbag Indicator Recall

Took mine for the recall today, it’s done… but they’ve torn the zipper on the seat cover. A replacement is back ordered and will take at least a week to arrive. Sigh. 3000 miles in, didn’t have any issues.

    Denali or AT4

No, wait for 2023’s to come out, they will be even better. Better yet, wait for the 2032’s! :)

Lifting a Denali / Magnetic ride suspension?

The 2021’s run on 32.8” tires stock. I am currently running on 275/70/18 — that’s 33.2” Looking for a setup that would enable something like 35” or whatever’s possible without affecting the ride quality too much. Would leveling alone allow for any larger tire size?

    2021 Leveling/Larger tires

I’ve got BFG KO2s on 18” tires on my 2021 Yukon. The ride quality is way better, but the grip on flat asphalt pavement is very bad compared to stock tires. With stock tires, spinning the wheels when starting in 2WD was very rare, and would almost never happen in AWD. With KO2s, wheel spin is...

    6 inch lift

Wow, 33s are stock on 2021s. I wonder if a 6” lift would facilitate even larger tires — or is it limited by the wheel wells / wide tires?..

    TPMS sensors

After three 2-hour visits to a tire shop — first to install the new tires, then to diagnose and replace a sensor they thought was faulty, and finally to install GMC OEM sensors — I have learned, the hard way, that our 2021 trucks’ TPMS sensors are not compatible with the previous models’. So...

While being stuck in the snow, right? That’s why you’re writing about that in this topic? :)

Lifting a Denali / Magnetic ride suspension?

Mainly interested in getting somewhat larger tires, say, +1-2 inches in diameter. Can it be done while still keeping magnetic ride?

Lifting a Denali / Magnetic ride suspension?

Hi all from Vancouver Canada, What are the extra considerations when lifting a Yukon with magnetic ride suspension? Can I still do a suspension lift? Body lift? Level it? Does a suspension lift mean I would have to go without the magnetic ride components? I tried reading the previous mode’s...

Do You Have "Snow Mode" as a Drive Mode?

That’s interesting, why would a single speed transfer case need snow mode if two speed doesn’t? It’s not like you use low range when you’d use snow mode, would you? In fact, snow mode usually does the exact opposite of what low gear range does by starting from the second gear.

Do You Have "Snow Mode" as a Drive Mode?

Apparently these only come in 2WD trucks — so their drive modes mimic what your typical crossover / 2WD car would have.

    Tire Pressure/Ride Quality

Coming from 2017 Lincoln Navigator the ride quality has been a bit too soft for me on 2021 Denali’s 22” wheels — switching to sport mode seems to make it a bit firmer with no other noticeable differences. If only you didn’t need to do it every time when starting the engine...

    R18 wheel size?

Hi all, I am looking to get 18” rims. What do you think would be the best wheel size? My tire dealer recommends 285/65/R18, which is 0.2” smaller than the stock 275/50/R22. Do you think 275/70R18 would fit without issues? That’s 0.5” larger than stock. Also, what’s the stock size for 20” tires?

    Limited slip differential 20 v 21

So… I drove my stock 22”-wheeled Denali on some gravel/stony roads today and I am happy to confirm the mechanical LSD is nowhere as useless as the first video here suggested. I only drove in 2H and still didn’t manage to get any wheel slippage — even when starting from standstill on a steep...

    Limited slip differential 20 v 21

Interesting, but even more confusing! Double checking the configurator, it says that Mechanical LSD is standard on all trims of Tahoe and Yukon, and Electronic LSD is an option that comes with the Premium Offroad Capability package. So apparently this mechanical LSD is as good as an open...

    Limited slip differential 20 v 21

That looks really cool! I wonder what’s the explanation for the first video posted here where it was utterly helpless. A preproduction sample glitch?..

Should I buy now or later?

If you want to be practical, of course you should buy later (in a few years, and used). Oh, wait, if you want to be practical, you don’t belong here — the minivan owners forum is that way. I guess buying a new full size SUV Is never about practicality and common sense, eh?.. :)
