I have seen a lot of comparison videos for Borla, Corsa, etc. but not many people have posted videos of the Gibson Dual Sport. I picked one up for about $550-$600 on sale a few months ago and love it.
My only complaint is that it took some modification by the guy who installed it and I think...
Rob,
From what I researched it has more to do with direct injection as opposed to a difference between the 5.3 and 6.2.
DI leads to dirty valves and a tb that can really benefit from some sea foam. Another way to assist with that is installing the oil catch can people talk about on here...
Thanks MonkeyFresh I am actually looking at the RocketMan thread right now. I think it would be worth a few hundred.

I’ve been happy with some Falkens I found on Amazon. Compared them here:

That looks really clean! I like the updated look that looks like a factory option.
I think I am one step closer to doing this myself. I updated the low beams with a 5000k or 5500k LED but it still looks awkward because the LED DRL are a warmer white.
Do you have any more pictures of the...
No I think the air bypass is fine, and the rpms are fine. For some reason it specifies not programming the idle RPM’s.
I wonder though if using the crankcase breather it bypasses all or most of the manifold and ends up in oil?

The directions specifically say not to do this. I have a diablosport so the thought crossed my mind...
The issue I had with using the aerosol/throttle setup was the first time the straw came out as my gf was holding at 2k rpm. This ended up with spray everywhere and although I am lucky the...
I ain’t complaining. Less smoke would indicate a cleaner, well maintained engine as you said. I am surprised I didn’t see ANY though.

Well.... disconnected the line on the drivers side. Sprayed the whole can in and let it sit for about 12 minutes. No smoke.
Drove it pretty hard for about 10-15 minutes and it ‘s definitely more responsive I just didn’t get the satisfaction from a giant cloud of carbon.
I have contacted a...
Ok in doing some research I believe that is the “clean side” of the crankcase so I didn’t know if it would make a huge difference.
Thanks a lot for your help by the way

I had not considered this. I actually have a spray can with the straw, but I figured I might try vacuum after a first attempt in the TB yielded nothing more than a giant friggin mess.

As I approach 80k miles I wanted to do a SeaFoam treatment. I treated the gas tank so I am looking to spray a can into the vacuum line.
I just pulled the line, and unlike older models this seems to have a sensor attached. Do I need to disconnect this soas not to harm anything or am I good to...
I have roughly 83k and notice this exactly. Hesitation predominantly in 1st and 2nd. I just had a transmission flush and they noted a dirty throttle body.
You mentioned being on the highway, so I am assuming not 1st or 2nd gear but more generally. Any mods on the tranny with a tuner? More...
So... better than a $5500 IMS fix for my 997 engine. That’s one of the reasons I picked up my Tahoe... if something blows up its a fraction of the cost. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the Porsche but nothing beats a road trip in the Tahoe.

Some really good information here. It’s a stark contrast from the sacrosanct view of Mobil1 in my Porsche experience.

I decided to do more digging on this. I have been on the fence about whether or not I should go through with this install.
I have read on the forums that many like the Michelin Defender Defender LTX M/S so I decided to put together some of my findings and hopefully this helps anyone considering...
