Air ride delete to passive suspension

You will get the message if the fuse is blown or the relay is bad even if you have the resistors. I found that out after I removed the relay and fuses so power wouldn’t go to the compressor. Immediate error message.

Air ride delete to passive suspension

I used 4 of these when I got rid of my Z55 system . No issues Amazon link 5100's up front with factory springs on stock setting and stock spring perch (this raised my front to what is was with the stock springs/struts and a 1.5" spacer lift) 5100's in the rear with the non HD Moog springs...

    Z55 front shocks bad?

Replaced the shocks today with 5100’s. Instantly a better ride. One of the Z55 shocks busted open when removing it and spit oil everywhere. My guess is they were not performing correctly. I have an appointment tomorrow to check the alignment and all ball joints. From my testing all ball joints...

New tie rod ends, struts, upper and lower control arms and 36mm socket ordered. Will be a busy weekend. Hopefully being in the south and very little rust it all comes apart easily.

    Z55 front shocks bad?

Ok, so new upper control arms, and lower ball joints? Will I need a press for the lower ball joints? Rent a tool from AutoZone? I’ve decided I am installing the bilstiens (already have them in the rear) I’ll take out the spacer and use the bilstien to bring it back level.

    Z55 front shocks bad?

I don’t have a tech2. I am guessing they are shot because I wouldn’t call the ride any better (probably worse) than the bilstiens I put on my trail boss. I’ve decided to sway them but will check the tie rods and ball joints as well. Was hoping there was an easy way to check if they were actually...

    Z55 front shocks bad?

How do you tell if the front shocks of a Z55 suspension are bad? 2011 Suburban LTZ. I Have K02 tires that are 3k miles old and the fronts are cupping. Alignment was done when the tires were put on and running a front 1.75” level with the ride height brackets to keep them correct. The truck has...

    Misfire at idle, cyl #8

The same thing happened to me, wire on plug 8 came loose. no Idea how but pushed it back in and made sure it was in there good and the misfire was gone.

The financial benefits of maintaining our own cars

Ive done everything on my truck, all brakes/rotors, suspension, fuel pump, belts, engine mounts, oil changes, and probably a million other things. I am getting quotes now to have the noisy AC compressor replaced. I dont have the tools to capture and recharge the system.

Diablosport i3 worth it just to raise idle

I wouldn't call it rough, but it stumbled sometimes. 140k miles. to try and cure this I replaced all the plugs/wires, cleaned MAF, cleaned throttle body, replaced engine mounts (one had failed), ran injector cleaner, Replaced fuel pump (original failed), new air filter, oil catch can (not sure...

Diablosport i3 worth it just to raise idle

2011 5.3. I got the i3 with the main purpose to disable AFM and raise the idle. Raised the idle 100 RPM and now at idle it is super smooth, no more hiccups while sitting at a light. I am just using the 87 tune for now, may install the 'firm' transmission tune as well. but so far it is working...

AirLift 1000 installed but bags are creased

2011 LTZ *factory air ride removed* Bilstien 5100 shocks and Moog 81071 springs. Stock rides great but when I hooked a large trailer to it, it was dragging its ass. Being I RARELY pull a trailer and dont want the HD springs back there for every day use, I install the AirLift 60769 kit for the...

    Recommendations for in-tank pump replacement

What is the hose inside the tank? I didnt replace that when I did mine but seemed to be in good shape?

    2011 Suburban/Door Hinge Spring

I was going to get the compressor for it. Surprisingly the rollers are good and the arms look to be in good shape. Its possible the doors are behaving like designed and I am just used to newer vehicles. Thought a cheap try would be replacing the driver spring to see if it made any difference.

    2011 Suburban/Door Hinge Spring

My door hinges are in good shape but feel like they dont hold all that well when open. I would like to just replace the springs in the hinge but cant find one for the GMT900. Does anyone have a part number? The ones I found are for older models but not sure if they will work. Would like to...

    2011 Tahoe Z71 - Suspension Overhaul - Few Questions

I cant tell if the sway bar is removed, if not, disconnect it. I would take the spring off the shock that didnt extend and see if it does on its own. If not you have a blown shock. Definitely dont put the two different length ones on there. Edit, I see this is from a month ago. What did you...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I had to take the driver wheel liner out, had to remove the bolt holding on the auto ride sensor and the bolt holding on a bracket next to it. Also need to remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold (2 of the 5 in mine broke off so I didnt put the heat shield back on) All the bolts will...

    2011 Suburban LTZ W/autoride question

Just picked up this suburban and the rear pump is not working. Pulled the fuse and there are no lights on the dash. I raised the front 1.5” and then it looked a little nose high so I added a .75” spacer in the rear. The rear has the air shocks obviously not inflated (I guess since the pump...

Would you buy your Yukon/Tahoe again?

I should have bought a Suburban instead of my Tahoe. Doesnt fit in the garage anyway and no down side to having more interior space.
