295/35/24, if my memory still works. that's debatable.

Suspension (and other mods) complete.... for now

Ugh I just looked at this last night and thought I took a pic but I didn't. I know they are 295 but I don't remember the aspect ratio. I think 35... Bigger sidewall than I expected for a 24" and I do have light rubbing on the rear side of the right front fender liner, but it hasn't worn through...

Suspension (and other mods) complete.... for now

Carefully navigated forest roads haha. At the end of one there is this big hill that overlooks the lake the cabin is on and it's very steep and rocky rutted road up to the top. Last time I went up there was this younger couple with a kid hanging out up there. They used a UTV/side by side to get...

Suspension (and other mods) complete.... for now

This post is long over due as I did this back in mid-late summer. For now though, the suspension is complete for awhile. Previously, I only had 2" drop coils for the rear to level out the rake on the truck. In reality, the rear lowered between 2.5-3". I kept wrestling with whether I should do...

Custom hood, I need some inspiration...

But still! It's a Tahoe! Those trucks have always been good in the aftermarket. Maybe the times are a changin....

    Before & after

It looks incredible. I assume that's a 2/4 drop? Front looks like it could be a little lower than 2" and I noticed you must have used a PPV front air dam? This is the set up I am considering but drive through Minnesota winters so still debating what I do.

    New coils for 22s

I'm really debating right now between 2" drop spindles or 1" lowering springs. I know the geometry will change between those two options, but are you happy with the spindles and the look? I currently have front stock height and rear is dropped about 2.5" to level it. It does sit level with the...

Custom hood, I need some inspiration...

I am shocked how few options there are out there. It's not like this gen hasn't been out for awhile. I was hoping for a subtle cowl or a single conservative vent, but there just isn't really any options. Bummin me out!

28.3 MPG on a recent trip in my 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L 4x4

Yeah that is correct, that's why I mentioned 25 mile period. I know there's no way I could get 29.5 over a whole tank. My typical daily driving is shorter trips in town so it would be pretty bad.

How do you guys like the 15-20's?

I have a 15 with about 125k on it and they only issues I've had is air conditioning related. Engine is leak free, sure it burns some oil, but pretty sure every car does these days.

28.3 MPG on a recent trip in my 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L 4x4

I've got a 15 5.3 and, while trying, achieved 29.5mpg over 25 miles. Thought that was pretty impressive, although not usual or realistic for every day

Custom hood, I need some inspiration...

A big ol hail storm came through my town recently. I now have a $8,800 check to fix the truck. I work on the car biz so I have resources to fix it for far less. This means extra money for fun! The hood was quoted for replacement, so I figure it's time to take advantage of the opportunity to get...

    2" rear drop, too low?

No no no, I'm not raising it back up!

2015-20 custom taillights. Let’s see them

I would but they are caddy lights with smoked lenses. I like the look but know that people either love them or hate them.

    2" rear drop, too low?

I did this last summer and ended up 2.5" lower when using 2" drop springs. After this, the running boards were completely parallel with the ground, but because of how the roof line was designed, and the still rather large gap in the front wheel well, many people think it's squatted (yuck). I'm...

    New tail lights, take two

That's the set I got. How do you feel about the brightness since you have the untinted lenses?
  18. Brad32486

    New tail lights, take two

They are all LED integrated into it. From what I've seen/observed through research, so I won't call it fact, the OEM Escalade lights have a ballast for the whole set up, which would explain why they can get so bright. These after market lights were clearly modeled/copied from an OEM housing...

    Headrest or Ceiling dvd screens?

I have been ordered by my mother-in-law to spend some money on myself for Christmas. Since I want it to be vehicle modification related (since it's a Christmas gift, and that works) I have been thinking and thinking about what to get.... My Tahoe is an LS so it didn't come with any rear seat...

Common / Easy upgrades for Tahoe? (2018)

Welcome to the forum. These trucks don't seem to be as customizable as they used to, oh, back in the 2000's and earlier, which doesn't leave as much. I put customer grill on mine that likely takes a second look to realize it's not factory. Adding the billet inserts in the openings give's the...

    New tail lights, take two

I got the tinted ones, they aren't the vLand brand though. I personally love the look, but don't like how they just aren't that bright. I have a feeling the biggest reason for that is the tint on these lenses. I see many Tahoes with the untinted, clearly aftermarket ones and they look brighter...

Sudden audible feedback with infotainment selections

So my '15 Tahoe LS with base infotainment/radio system (tiny screen) all the sudden started giving audible feedback (beeps) when I make various selections. Things such as climate control changes, menu selections, radio presets, all now beep when I select them. This happened one day after my wife...

17 Suburban Premier - rough idle when warmed up

Depending on mileage I've pondered the idea of carbon build up restricting intake passages. This can be a problem on direct injection engines as port injectors would keep the valve ports clean of carbon by way of fuel spray. I work as a service writer for a premium European luxury brand and know...

Couldn't decide so I just dropped the rear

For all four wheels or just the rear?

Couldn't decide so I just dropped the rear

I don't think they ever have hit. The springs don't seem to be any softer than the factory ones, even if they didn't start with a static height as tall as the stocks. Even while towing the camper I didn't have any issues. Having said all that, the roads I traveled were not that bad.
