    I'm having this issue now. Thankfully the bushing failed in the driveway. I replaced the bushing but the cable still pulls away from the shifter pulling the bushing with it. I'm going to let it sit over night to see if it settles. Is it normal for the cable to pull away like that?

    The kit I have is from AMS racing. LS7 style cam with all lifters (no springs). The trays the sent don't match the block, and yes I changed the valley cover.

    No, It's a full set. With the LS7 style cam. Even the lifter trays are different. I'm wondering since the lifter trays differ from the block do I need to worry about them shaking loose.

    Anybody ever have an issue with a valve cover that won't come off? Im trying to check my rocker arms. My suspicion is that the #7 is loose causing the rattling, rather than a compressed lifter. BUT i can't get the damn valve cover off! All the bolts are removed. There's not much to brace myself...
