Thank you, not leaving, just not going to keep up this thread that’s all. I see other threads similar in this generations section..? I can’t stand it when mods start messing with sites. Been there before, and the sites usually go down hill very quickly. Their site, do as they wish. And...

    ‘97 Yukon work horse

Well, I guess that’s it for me. The general forum for this year or generation is not exactly a hot bed of activity… you can’t tell me moving this thread was necessary, or any other threads for that matter. I don’t really have any interest in scrolling through various years/generations to see...

Hi guys, decided to get the Yukon ready for another winter. I picked up that bypass kit, haven’t installed it yet. And looked at the rear defroster. Cleaned up the contacts, and found one plunger stuck. Before I bought another one, figured I would see if I could fix it. It’s is serviceable at...

Hey, that blue top has been in for a month now, what a difference. It’s like new again. At this point the whole suspension (other than springs), steering, bearings, and brakes, are new. Now to get the ac working again... Hauled my engine block, heads and crank from my pickup truck to the...

Hey, let me ask, is the GM EVO bypass kit, 19168825, worth it? I’ve never heard of it until I was doing some reading on the above mentioned rag joint replacement mods. I replaced the sensor a couple of years ago, and I can’t say I’m having any issues. If anything, I would say the steering is...

So, the Blue Top is in, and it is like new. Cant say enough good things about it, or blue top. Great service. There is zero play in it. None. I rebuilt the entire front end last year, everything from the wheel bearings to the gear box. It’s like a new truck again. I have to admit though, I...

    ‘97 Yukon work horse

It took 3 weeks, I’m in Canada - cross border shipping etc, and that was over the Christmas holidays. fast in my opinion. I tried a rock auto one as well, Lares. It’s terrible. I kept my original one, that’s the one I sent to blue top. What is the new rag joint?

Best way to create a two door Tahoe/Yukon with new components?

Thank you guys, appreciate the compliments. I do work it, but I do try to take care of it too. Just sent in my steering gear to blue top. Hopefully that solves the steering issues. That’s it for the front end, everything else is new. (Edit: I tried a cheap one from rock auto, no luck there...

Hey guys, Joined the forum a year or so ago looking for info and posted in the introduction section. A couple of reply’s asked for pictures. Sounds good. I like my Yukon, happy to show a few. It is a work horse for me. So it has some bumps and bruises along the way. I’ve done quite a bit to...

    Your Preferred Motor Oil?

Heated topic... Mobil 1 in gas engines. I switched over and have been running it for as long as I can remember now (20 years?) never an mechanical engine issue since, in multiple trucks and cars, high mileage and working trucks. That’s my 2c.
