I'm tracking down my Left Rear window not working and I find I don't have power to this green wire. Do you know where it's getting power from? I've checked all the fuses and relays and I don't see what is powering this.
Edit: I do have like 1.6V on that wire, it's not totally dead for some reason.
Use the connector right at the amp just above where you are looking now. Get the Scosche (sp?) harness that will plug right in and totally bypass the amp and send head unit power to the speakers. Of note: The harness that I bought was pinned wrong and I had to repin it.
Sounds like a pile of fun! My 2001 Yuuk is a frame swap. Friend and PO bought from ebay with damage. Seller failed to mention frame was wrecked from front to rear axle. We found another Yuuk (or Hoe) in Arkansas that had a tree fall on it. Get the two together with some wine and impacts and let...
Mechanically, it's an easy job. I give it a 1 wrench out of 3. Logistically, a little more difficult. You will need to either get a pressure bleeder or a helper. You may also need to run the ABS bleeding procedure using a scan tool.
I just installed the GT series fans on my Yuuk. I found teh fans at the pull a part and got the wiring kit from PCMofNC. https://www.pcmofnc.com/product/1999-2002-full-size-truck-dual-fan-conversion-kit-3/
The wiring kit is top notch stuff. So far, very happy with the results. So much quieter...
Stopped at AAP today and for no reason picked up the Meguiars headlight restoration kit. I tried it out, but it didn't do enough. So back to the store. Bought some 320, 600, 800, 1000, and 2000 grit sand papers. Did the process again and NOW i'm happy with it. Using the 320 (lightly) really cut...
I ended up going with the Kicker CompRT 43CWRT81. I used a Kicker 42PXA5001 500W mono mini amp. I mounted it inside the storage compartment on the left rear. I personally love the sound. It's not shaking the cars next to you, but you feel the punch in your gut. Overall my system sounds better...
Thought I would post this here for others that may run into this....
Last weekend I started up my 2001 Yuuk and immediately noticed a high pitch whine through all speakers. It sounded like ground or ignition noise. Now being tuned into my electrical I was watching my voltmeter more carefully. I...
be prepared for a lot of wire harness swapping too unless you get a manual shift transfer case. My Yukon is a 4wd on a 2wd frame and the lack of a T-Case causes me grief with the warning lights and trouble codes.
You already know the right answer. With that many miles on the engine, there is no miracle in a bottle that will fix it. You'll need to put in a new set of lifters. Luckily, they are cheap. And all the gaskets needed for the job are also cheap, and likely needed replacement also. Great time to...
I thought it was a common thing to put the LSA on a 5.3 I've seen it done quite a few times. There's even boxed up kits ready to go.

Nice work! My 2001 Yukon is a similar story. Bought off Ebay, said frame wasn't damaged. Frame was absolutely mutilated. Swapped body onto a 2WD frame and i'm currently fighting through those troubles (4WD body on 2WD chassis).
PCM does not set any codes for this. The Codes (DTCs) are coming from the TCCM and displaying on the information center in the combi meter (cluster).
I like the unplug it option. I'll feel like a moron if that works, but I hope it works!
