Yes its installed correctly. I think it collects alot because it sees about 70% highway driving, 5 days a week. Also, because the lines are long, it gives the crank case vapor longer time to cool and it causes more of the "stuff" to collect in the can. I'm fine with it because its not all going...
Decided to pull the all weather floor liners out and clean them up. Gave it a good vacuum and wipe down of the interior. Also cleaned the front seats up as well with some steam and Mother's VLR.

The install video was good help. The connection on the side of the manifold was kinda tricky if you have the 5.3. I just emptied it again. Half full after 17 days.

Yeah. I bought a can of CRC intake and valve cleaner. Gonna do a treatment before the next oil change. I'm sure its got some build up based on what the can is collecting. My wife does drive a good bit of highway so it kinda makes sense but I'm still kinda shocked how much its collecting in a...
Yes is the answer. That was roughly 400 miles of collection. I went with a JLT 3.0 catch can. Looks like I'll be emptying it monthly based on how much its collecting.

About 3 weeks of the JLT can being on the Yukon and its half full (3oz total compacity) already. Full disclosure, my wife drives a good bit of highway commuting so makes sense. I'm gonna have to empty that thing once a month.

She has about 45k on the Yukon and I'm planning on doing that right before the next oil change. I planned one using CRC or Lucas GDI. I did just clean the throttle body and plate and it seems to be a little smoother. I really wanna get a camera back in there to see what it really looks like...
Nope. My wife's truck is a garage baby. My F150 has a JLT catch can on it, it lives outside. No issues in 10000+ miles.
I'm more concerned about how the 5.3s intake valves look after 40000 miles of oil vapor building up. DI engines are notorious for it. Ford addressed this with dual (port and...
I literally mounted per the instructions from JLT. I'm guessing you could make those modifications if you wanted. Probably wouldn't be too hard but you'll need longer hoses. I'd be concerned about having the hoses too long as well. They make an all black one if you want it to blend into the...
Definitely wouldn't trust the dealership to apply any kinda paint protection. Either do it yourself or go to a shop that does Graphene or Ceramic coatings. Itll probably cost the same but the results will be far better.

Cleaned the throttle body. Wasn't really dirty after 45000 miles but glad I got it cleaned. Did seem to smooth out the idle some. I was gonna clean the MAF sensor but it looked really good so i didn't bother. I was kinda surprised with the oil on/in the PCV intake lines around the connectors...
Interested in your impressions on the S&B. I've wanted to get one for my wife's Yukon. Mainly to make checking the filter easier. Any noticeable change in "get up and go"?
